Was just researching the largest newspaper publisher in Europe, especially focused on German Language newspapers, and saw on their Wikipedia Page that they have a giant OWL at their front entrance.

ETA...A: I see no team listed. That's the first thing I personally look for when researching a coin. Also the github is..nothing.

How odd. There is nothing I can find about its creators or anything!!

On one of the bitcointalk links there's an account called Rothscoin, which makes a thread debuting Rothscoin. They are asked if it is any relation to Rothschild. They said no...

After a quick search looks like this has been pushed hard in certain areas and forums on internet particularly the last month.

What is going on..?!

Sadly, it's not uncommon lately for ICO's to come and go...with peoples cash. It's also prevalent in cloud mining.

I would mark this as a scam coin and move on. However, I'm not sure the implications as it pertains to this thread.

This, from your source:
"Accepted currencies: BTC, ETH
Note: Investors can deposit BTC/ Eth to their wallet in RTC system and withdraw it at any time."

It looks like they're after BTC.

So, the way an ICO works is as follows. Company puts up their webpage. Usually complete with a roadmap, team members, goals etc etc. Then make an announcement ( ANN ) on bitcoin talk. Then, generally some marketing.

In response, people send their bitcoin or ethereum to a specified address, generally making an account on the page or something similar.

After the ICO has finished, those donators are reimbursed with the new currency coin. Sometimes they rise, sometimes they fall. Given the nature of crypto at the moment, there is no regulation and no one to press charges against fraud. So, there is fraud! Thus the reason looking at the team is so very important from the start.

ETA: This was big news in the crypto world recently.
