CNN should merge with Al Jazeera. They will be a perfect fit for each other.
I'd trust Al Jazeera English before I'd trust Fox.

Nope, it's a standard procedure as explained.
It is done to prevent monopolies which it now appears you guys are totally down with if it would potentially mess with one of your sacred cows to not allow the monopoly?
Hmmm... I wonder if Donald Trump is in the market for a crappy news outlet that needs rehabilitation?

Oh you can be sure this is that fat orange vindictive pustules idea, just like his benefactor in the Kremlin attacking the press to cover his crimes.

"CNN may be sold"
So there are people out there who still thinks CNN is worth something ?
The Atlanta lawyer whose racial discrimination suit against CNN was dismissed earlier this year says he is re-filing the class action case – this time with a new set of plaintiffs and even more alleged victims.
AT&T will not sell CNN and it doesn't intend to sell key assets, either, to satisfy the Justice Department's demand for closing its $85 billion merger with Time Warner, AT&T Chief Executive Randall Stephenson said Thursday.
The Justice Department and AT&T are in the midst of a war of words over whether the Trump administration will approve the deal after a year of reviewing it. Stephenson said Thursday that if there is no progress on negotiations, the likely result will be the phone giant heading to court to protect its planned acquisition and prevent any divestiture.
Yesterday, reports surfaced that the Department of Justice (DOJ) had requested a sale of either Turner Broadcasting, which owns CNN, or DirecTV before it would approve AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner. However, the agency said that it didn't request those sales, but merely presented them as options that would quell its antitrust concerns over the $85.4 million deal.

What is the reasoning behind this?
Why does owning CNN break antitrust laws?
