If so many people were victims, where did their cars go?

Small town, maybe walking distance to church....

Anyone notice how small the actual parking lot is?

For 20+ people being dead and 20+ more wounded, there certainly doesn't seem to be 40-50+ people worth of actual cars there.

I see a TON of law enforcement vehicles. No tow trucks. Hardly any "other" vehicles.

In small towns, believe it or not, on a nice day walking to church is a nice way to start the day.

I used to walk to church where I used to live. Was about 3/4 of a mile one way, and a great way to reflect and clear ones head.

+1. I'm from a small town and lots of people walk to church.

The meds concern me as well, but without an actual system in place to help them medication is better than nothing I suppose, but when all we do is medicate and so many people are on multiple medications you have to start wondering about how it effects people.

But I do not know, its getting late I am getting tired.

Sad day..

I wonder about the over prescribing of antidepressants though. Granted, I am sure they are necessary for some, but I had a friend that was prescribed an AD, and she was unable to cry. I was boohooing at a movie one time and looked over at her and she was totally dry-eyed. I whispered that I couldn't believe she wasn't crying in this scene, and she whispered back that her medications keep her from being able to cry!!

Antidepressants can definitely be a problem. I've been prescribed them on 2 occasions for anxiety attacks and both times the side effects from the medication were worse than just dealing with the anxiety issues. I refuse to go on them again. If you quit them cold turkey (the doctors do tell you not to do this, but if you've been on them a while of course you can forget), they can make you suicidal/homicidal.

Also, families go to church in a single car.

I understand what the pills do, but they are not a cure they are meant to mitigate the symptoms and not meant for indefinite usage.

We have to get back to trying to heal people not just treat the symptoms.

Okay. I don't want to pursue this too much because I know it's not the intended topic. But please take into consideration that not all mental illness is 'treatable' in the way you might think. Many, in fact, are not.
No amount of cognitive therapy, or any of the "talk therapies" are useful in many disorders.

Reading on bbc news it says the congregation is usually about 50 people, 27 are dead and 20 -25 are injured. If this is correct it sounds like every single person got shot.

shooter went all the way to a neighboring county

Only about 10 miles to the county north of it.

I imagine the person's relationship will be a focus in the investigation.

That's as still being reported on the BBC.
It used to be a church was a place of sanctury, Condolences to all those affected.

Unfortunately those days ended long ago. 139 shootings in churches between 1980 and 2005.

This is the churches you tube channel www.youtube.com...

It's just a small church so you can see how many people go there each week.
And how easy it was for the pos to walk in and shoot just about everyone. Sad

It's said the Pastor's 14 year old girl is one of the dead.

This is just so so sad I've a lump in my throat the size of my desktop.

Prayers for Pastor Frank Pomeroy and his family and shurch family.

i would think just an attack on people would suffice for that

God started it with all the hurricanes and tornadoes.

Wasn't him.
