A laptop computer recovered from the Las Vegas hotel room where Stephen Paddock launched the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history was missing its hard drive, depriving investigators of a potential key source of information on why he killed and maimed so many people, ABC News has learned.
Paddock is believed to have removed the hard drive before fatally shooting himself, and the missing device has not yet been recovered, sources told ABC News.

Think this one through:
So dude brings a laptop with no hard drive to his hotel - it's useless, why would he do that when he had so many guns and bullets to haul.
Brings it with a hard drive but removes it and hides it even though he apparently meant to go out in a blaze of glory - unbelievable, why not ditch it before he goes to hotel.
Or, FBI shows up on the scene and "cleans" the room including possible incriminating evidence on their mole's hard drive: likely.
This is why we have conspiracy theories.
I find it very suspicious that the MSM is digging this tunnel themselves, screams of a cover up.

Because maybe it turns out that Paddocks 'former' business dealings with the Gubment aren't that 'former'.

Excellent point, consider it added to my "think this through" post.
Although I would note that whenever I've had to replace a hard drive, you need either a really really small screwdriver or a specially shaped screwdriver. That would indicated that whomever took the hard drive was literally walking around with like three or four screwdrivers on him/her.
