Let Kim do whatever he damn well pleases. He's only trying to put his country in a position to where they wont be messed with by the Western powers.

We don't need to take any action unless we have 100% certainty that they are going to act on their threats.
are you people ever naive...The Nork says they will resume negotiations AFTER they get the capbility to lob some nukes into the U.S...

So what do you think the scumbag will demand??? That we get our Military out of S. Korea, and that we give him hundreds of billions of dollars or he will nuke us and S. Korea??? We should just wait and see, eh???

And don't you dare blame Trump for this...It was Obama who got us into this mess...We just have to hope Trump can get us out of it, any way he can...

We have two narcissistic personalities beating their chests. They both want respect and they both want to wrap themselves in an image of being a tough guy. It's a recipe for disaster!

Kim doesn't care about the North Korean people. He's most likely counting on being safe and secure in an underground bunker supplied with large quantities of food for him to gorge on. All he wants is to inflict a devastating blow on the U.S. so he can have his feeling of grander. As far as Trump goes, I think he's over confident and has little concern for the innocent Americans and South Korean civilians who will be under immediate attack and bombardment from North Korea. I also think many Americans are forgetting, it only takes 1 nuclear missile to escape through U.S. missile defenses, and we'll have a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions. Our missile defenses have never been tested on multiple launches.

The radiation fall-out alone could cause China and Russia to retaliate against the U.S. and start World War III.
Bye, Bye, see ya'll on the other side.

Accept ..we ARE STILL fighting a war...I was there in 1986...AND we WILL HAVE to KEEP a base and troops there TO contain the DPRK from invading the SOUTH...
FACTS ...they REALLY can screw with your ideas.
DON'T feel bad, OTHERS ARE equally obtuse on this VERY thread...

It has nothing to do with acceptance.

As long as their are brainwashed men and women willing to fight an enemy whether the enemy be real or fabricated then there will be a lot of death and a lot of killing.

A 2 million man army 50,000 tanks 11000 rockets aimed at the south and 1 or 2 deliverable nuclear weapons. This has to potential to be great on a hd tv. If WW3 breaks out we have a front row seats right in our living room.

A trillion dollar war and millions dead USA USA USA USA USA.

Military option only exists if North Korea strikes first.

Everything else is just theatrics.

The viable preemptive strike option came and passed decades ago.

Regardless, a full military confrontation will end in major catastrophe.

Not something anyone on any side should be cheering for.

Yes. They will resume after they have MAD theory on their side. As I said.

They would still not be in a position to demand anything. They would be assured that we would be a bit more reluctant to attack them, considering their capabilities. We would still be able to smash them. They know that.

And don't you dare blame Trump for this...It was Obama who got us into this mess...We just have to hope Trump can get us out of it, any way he can...

Obama did not get us in to this. This was in the making for many years. Perhaps since the Korean war.

Trump is only to blame for his childish chest-thumping.

How is it that the US with all that power cant find a way to peace?

We don't need to find peace, cause there is no war. We should just leave North Korea the hell alone, and focus on our own "Making America Even Greater Again".

Every time there's an "incident", even relatively minor ones like Las Vegas, the people we elected to bring more prosperity to the country, go into hibernation, golfing...whatever. They only work 138 days a year as it is for the $180,000 we pay them.

The USA should get the hell out of the Korea peninsula ASAP, just like Mueller should end his Witch-Hunt ASAP. Both are distractions from bringing more jobs, money, healthcare...IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE to American citizens!

China and Russia won't back NOKO if it decides to attack. That's why the U.S is waiting.

Right..I pointed that out several pages back. CHINA has said it won't back NKorea if NKorea strikes first. Haven't seen that statement from Russia/Putin. Have you?

I have not. I think I heard it on the news.

North Korea was never really a threat when they had crude nuclear devices and missile tech that rarely worked.

They now have a working Hydrogen bomb and missiles capable of reaching the US and its allies.

This isn't like the last 5 years, he isn't just some kid with a gun making threats. He has the means to vaporize entire cities!

Sanctions, we've sanctioned North Korea gazillions of times this past decade.. is there anything left to even sanction?

If Kim is threatening to vaporize a city of the US or its allies and is moving equipment into place that could action those threats - then we need to act.

Yes, people will die on all sides... money will be wasted... but it feels like the worlds been avoiding conflict for too long. You cannot run and hide all the time, you cannot appease all the time.. diplomacy at all costs is not the solution.

If you have a mad man with mad weapons making threats.. he'll eventually lose the plot and action those threats.
If you start the conflict at least you can control it some what..

Times up.. lets roll!

How long was your sentence for aggravated battery?

Nothing..... absolutely nothing.
No cops called, he took it like a man and accepted it.
Thats how things are sometimes done in my neighborhood.
Even apologized a week later, and I apologized back.

Not everyone cries after being in a fist fight.

To repeat myself:

If your neighbor said he was going to shoot you, does that give you the right to go to his house and shoot him first?

That question would have to include your neighbor constantly pointing a loaded gun at you, and occasionally firing a shot over your house to be a fair comparison.

Unless he's in public or on your property, my point is still valid.

I'm not a history buff, but I've read that at least 2 generations of "Jongs" have lied to several U.S. Presidents. They negotiate upstairs, while their nuclear bomb experts researched and developed weapons, in the basement.

Sounds like you live in the neighborhood where Donald Trump was raised. (Queens?) Not many "girlie-men" to be found there!
