No former military special operations operator is going to chime in to this thread, wanna know why?

This is ATS.

They wouldn't waste their time. To them, this might as well be "Before it's News". Those guys operate well and Above Top Secret.

You would do better to ask for insight from firearms guru's (or those that claim to be).

People that shoot regularly. Understand MOA, trajectory, capabilities, etc.

One switch or breaker...run by the venue usually but this being a festival it could have been a number of production crew. It depends on if it was a union gig or not. If it was IATSE then it should have been the production crews master electrician. Production is a very small community and some of the guys in my shop had friends who were working there that night. I haven't heard anything crazy about the lights so I doubt it was on purpose...unless I guess they had someone ready to duck in and flip them on. They would have had to scope it out and figure out where to find the breaker hit it without people wondering wtf.

It, to me, was more likely that the production crew called over radio for them to hit house lights. I'm sure at first they thought it was someone in the venue...not 32 floors up across the block. So yes in that case turning on the lights would make sense so people could see who was shooting.

For the weapons seen in the pictures on the floor, those were not 100 round mags, and anyone that knows about rifles like those understand that a drum mag with 100 rounds may not be as reliable due to the design needed to squeeze 100 rounds into it, especially if they are bigger than handgun bullets.

After seeing the raw video, it was not a solo shooter. That's all I can gather from it. SO, yea

Well, you're half right.

Thing is, you don't know who you'll run into on these sites. That much is certain.

regardless of the 'expert' debunking presented in this thread earlier, an attempt at influencing one to not believe what your ears hear, I heard a weapon that would be impossible to hold while shooting a second one.

The facts we can all agree upon,

2 guns at same time

lights had to be turned on to get people out as an SOP, (I have friends in the music venue security business, one now deceased).

higher pitched rounds and sounds of the gun are going to be heard from the shots made closest to the microphone if it is the same gun

the bigger the cartridge the bigger the sound upon firing no matter how close you are
anybody with a brain was scared to death and will likely get details wrong so the video is all we have

***********************
In training, I have fired the bigger rounds with the louder 'report' in an M60 which is similar to the last gun in the video and the M16 sounds similar to the AR15 in a three round burst
**************************

Speculation

were people in the crowd shooting at the crowd?

belt fed or barrel ? (but belt fed seems very possible)

have any reported seeing a second shooter, anywhere?

Or it was 300 yards-ish. Because y'know....using facts and not making things up matters.

You know you can have double stack 100 round mags that aren't drums right? At least one of the rifles there's a picture of has, at least, a double stack mag. To me, the mag looks longer than standard, which means it's probably 100 rounds as opposed to 60.

Correct.

Surefire makes 100 round mags that sure look like the ones in the crime scene photos.

Yes. We can still move from there to look at the two + shooter idea.

That's a compelling argument, and yes, I do agree that it sounds like a combination of a belt-fed (not bump stock) higher calibre 762, and then the controlled bursts which are clearly heard at the 3:30 mark of his source video, as being a lower calibre 556. To see that the victims were so completely floodlit is just really, really sad.. The shooter/s were able to pick them off sadistically, perhaps even taking aim deliberately at those who were bold enough to stand up first to make a getaway between periods of sustained fire (as it seems to have been a belt-fed weapon that particular shooter wasn't "reloading", he was pausing to ensure he could pick off those targets) - this would have significantly added to the fear & terror of the situation, as people realised he was targeting those who got up to run.. All of it leading to that very sad moment in the source video where you can see everyone just laid out on the ground, looking around in confusion, perhaps after a while even looking to see who will get up & basically take the fire so that others can make good their escape. Really, really sad. The shooters are evidently brutal, soulless monsters, whoever they were. I now disbelieve the official story, based on the evidence of that source footage.
