Hello Dave! I was on facebook earlier and two posts in a row by two different people were about Mom's that had passed away. Made me cry as it brought up so many memories, but I have wonderful memories and you can hold on to yours too. Hugs!

I've been a bit silent here lately, i have been only reading the shed. I thought i could update now. Been in some stomach pain for a while. Upper right stomach, just below the ribs. Went to see a doctor yesterday. He sent me to lab, test results will come today and the doctor will call me about them and i am just freaking out here.

Doctor suspected it has something to do with my liver (i wonder why?) or then, err, *goes to google translate* gallstones or kidney stones.

I have a kidney stone attached to my kidney. Doc says it could move. I don't feel a thing though.

Whatever it is, we are here right by your side, every step of the way. Tis true, even the faeries and pixies will use their sprinkling of glittery dust to make magic happen. Keep us posted Hun. Hugs!

You know what? You didn't find the Shed by accident Sheye, it found you. You see, there are people who find themselves here because they need this place of enchantment, compassion, laughter and love... oh and magic, always magic. You were meant to be here, just as all Sheddites who show up on the doorstep are meant to be.

Some come for a while when they need this place the most then leave. Some leave but keep returning because the song of the Shedlands calls to them and they know they cannot leave. It is a part of them and they know they belong here, that this is 'home'.

Ok i just have to share this one thing!

Practically all youtube videos have been blocked in Finland. Click on a video here, and a message appears "This video contains content from TEOSTO. It is not available in your country." Oh well, teosto is a Finnish copyright organization that has now decided it owns all the music. Finnish discussion forums are flooding with anger and frustration!

So, what is this boiling down into? This year, it is Finnish celebration year of 100 years of independence. And everyone, everywhere, can listen to the "Finlandia hymn" exept for the Finns. First gold medal in ice hockey was won in 1995, the match has been blocked from YT due to the national anthem being played at one point. I haven't even figured out how to react. Hopefully i will wake up soon. In the meantime, i will go to Spotify.

Yeah i thought about it, but i am not much of a thread starter. I would demand myself to get all the facts straight with proper links to good sources.

Ok so the doctor called. My liver is fine, my pancreas is fine. But there is some stuff in human body called "bilirubin" and it's rate in tests should be 21 or lower and i got 29. But as far as i understood, a rise in bilirubin can be caused by a lot of reasons and i will go to the lab again next week to give blood and get it checked again. The doc prescribed me some medicine for kidney stone pain. I got them from the pharmacy, got back home and started to feel the pain again so i swallowed one pill and all hell broke loose. Horrifying episode of asthma, super racing heart, shaking, vomiting and fear of death.

But starting to feel better again. I actually managed to smoke a cigarette just before writing this. So the thing went like, as i got good news from doc i felt relief. Then the anxiety was gone, and i got very tired of all the anticipation of what the test would turn out to be. And then the med destroyed me for a couple of hours, so now i am super tired. But no worries, if the bilirubin is not getting back to normal, then ultrasound and if they are kidney stones, then a minor operation. Not one bit anxious about it. I have had my skull drilled in the past so this is next to nothing.

I need some rest now. Thanks for all the positive messages, you are some real diamond people here!

Finn - Bilirubin is a substance that your body gets rid of - it's a waste product. When babies are born jaundiced (yellow) it's usually because they have too much bilirubin in their body and it's showing through in their skin. It usually fades as their digestive systems & liver begin working normally once they start nursing.

For an adult, I can imagine it could be all sorts of stuff that might cause it.

I got up late, but slept well. Things are extremely challenging for Mark and his diet. Besides being so restricted and a picky eater, he isn't hungry enough to eat as much as he needs to and being diabetic that is so very important. I'll buy the diabetic protein/meal drinks for when he isn't very hungry hoping he will get that in him at least, but he isn't thrilled with the idea.

Been just reading as well. My family had a surprise trip to NYC Thanksgiving night and got home last night. We were all over the city, and I barely had enough wherewithal to check up on the baby (he stayed with my Inlaws).
