Van man! (wasn't that poetic?)

I just ate like an animal. The kind of animal that eats very much, not like an insect or anything. Elephant or horse maybe.

Wishing you shed people all the best! And if it is not that good at the moment, tolerate. It will get better. Then it might get worse again but the better times give strength and courage to face the unknown tomorrow. I speak from experience.

Waves at Gordi! Good to see you Hun! Hope you are having a peaceful and fun time while you are away. Van is looking great Van Man!

Fin, you always make me laugh. Van Man...ahahaha! It doesn't take much to amuse me. And about eating like an animal...LOL! I was like that yesterday at lunch. While we were out after Mark's appointment, he, his Brother and I went to subway. I got a large tuna grinder on herb bread and ate half and brought the other half home as intended. I don't think I was home that long before devouring the other half.

There is heaps of gorgeous artwork all over the place of the creature! And here I was, thinking it was a mere forest wolf.

Bassplayer Dave will be here innnn... 18 days!

My son and I got our bus tickets to Brisbane at the start of the week. The lady looked at us all, "Uhh, it's three weeks. Sure you don't want to purchase these a bit closer to the date?" .... NOPE. Need. Tickets. Now. Thank you! I need my assurances that there will be seats and they'll be seating our butts. Also bought Dave's too for the journey back. We're all set... providing the flight doesn't change. Which is unlikely. But now that I have the rather expensive bus tickets that are only partially refundable, I worry about such things.

I can't wait for him to be here, not only for "us" but for his health. He's so overstressed, overtired, and malnourished. He barely eats, and when he does it's crap-no-nutrient-food. I'm planning on spending the weekend beforehand making all sorts of deliciousness. Quiches, a lasagne for his first meal here, savoury muffins, etc. I just want good food in his belly. And hugs. ALL the hugs.

(Very excited; it's soooon! 2 and a half weeks!)

I would have thought it was a mere forest wolf myself.

I know you will take excellent care of Dave when he gets there, and he will look after you and that precious boy of yours. Gawd, I'm sooo excited for you all!!!!!!!

Oh, things are not settled with Mark. This will be a long process of check ups and the Doctors all keeping a close eye on how his meds are working and tests and what-not. He has had serious health problems for many, many years. I'm working on finding healthier food alternatives that he will actually enjoy or at the very least tolerate. He has been good lately. I have tried helping throughout the years, but I know how difficult it is for him to be so restricted as a picky eater.

The thing is we often ate different things because he practically lived on red meats and really high fat, salty foods. I have quite a variety in my own diet. There are some dishes that we do eat together.

Another thing with Mark...I found out recently he has been lending money to some ladies he has known for years. I only found out about a few because I caught him. Well with some of these people he told them they didn't have to pay him back. I was so pissed! I never go through his mail but when he needed so much money for meds and other things lately, I let him borrow from me. Now, though we are both on limited incomes, he makes a lot more than I do and I could not figure out why he said he had no money in the bank. Well I opened up his latest statement and saw one lady was lent 200.00 at the end of September, another 200.00 check in October then another 20 to 40 dollar checks. There were two other ladies with checks for 60 bucks or 20 bucks. Now who knows who else, or how many?

So he went without meds for a couple of weeks and insulin for a day and ends up in the hospital fighting for his life. His Doctor, like other Doctors have told him...he is heading for a poor quality of life or death if things don't change. I told him I was going to say something in a PM at facebook to whoever I found on his page that were on the checks he made out and make a general post on his page for any friends who may not be on his page that have borrowed from him and asking his friends to let others know that the Bank is now closed and this will not be tolerated anymore. I let them know his damned life depends on it.

I said even though they are borrowing, he may end up needing that money for life saving meds and not have it. I told them, had I known anything about this back when it all started I would have put an end to it then.

Sorry for the rant.

Sounds like you need a good rant ... and Mark needs to grow up and realize what his priorities are, which are his health and you. ( lil po'd at the dude 😜)

So don't apologize for letting it out... because I may do the same in the shed at some point. Real life throws us curve balls made outa lemons at times, and we need to soldier on best we can . It always helps to have the shed 🙂

I spoke with him today and said he needs to think differently. He comes up with some weird stuff. Like about letting all those people borrow money, he says he would have spent the money on something else anyway. So I'm like, "Besides medicines?" or...he didn't think it was fair that the price of the insulin was sky high when he hits the donut hole with his medical and didn't want to pay that much. And I'm like..."Ummm...your life depends on keeping those numbers normal, I agree whole heartedly about the pricing but ya know, I'd like to keep you around, alive and kicking for a while longer."

And when he should fit an extra appointment in with a Doctor when he isn't feeling well, he hates bothering people for rides, when his Brothers and friends, my friends and Sister say if he ever needs a ride, it's not a problem. He says they have lives too. I understand that, but told him that until he gets that sports car fixed and able to use it, he has to do what you has to do. I told him, sometimes you need to swallow your pride and accept help when you need it and that there is nothing wrong with that.

If you need to rant Honey, rant. I felt so much better after letting things out. Then I came back and saw no one posting and thought oh crap...did I scare everyone away? LOL

Thanks Gordi, I appreciate I don't have to explain.
When I send out a hug alert it is like a man drowning, he cries for help, and the people rescuing him don't demand an explanation before they throw out the life line. Right, he can always explain later.
So here is the least "girly" hug I could find. Back at ya.

Now why aren't you on sabbatical?

Hope you are doing well, Night Star.

No, you didn't scare us. You are not that scary! I think you need a dragon or two to help you out if you want to be scary. I was just too much of a zombie to reply earlier, but had my coffee now.
