Without a doubt, the MSM is suffering from a severe obsessive-compulsive disorder when it comes to Trump. It took them a week to remember that Puerto Rico got blown back to the 1800's, because they were so laser-focused on Trump and his tweets about the NFL.

Trump's endorsing Luther Strange never made much sense to begin with. Strange is the establishment favorite, which pretty much by definition makes him a swamp creature. Roy Moore is the guy Trump's supporters favored all along.

My read is, Trump was pushed to support Luther by Senate Republicans. He started backing off toward the end.

This is my thoughts, too.

I think he liked Strange as a person and, of course, he was the establishment's favorite. But, even at the rally for Big Luther, Trump didn't seem (to me, anyway) to be pushing that hard for him. His speech was about 9/10 rhetoric, and 1/10 Luther Strange endorsement.

At one point, he even said, "I might have made a mistake" and "if the opposition wins, I'll be down here supporting him, too, against the Democrat opponent". (paraphrasing) I thought then....DT's full backing is not bleeding through!

It's common knowledge that Trump backed the guy...the guy lost.

I interpret deleting a tweet to imply a certain amount of regret, or recognition that you said something dumb, but nothing more than that.

I mean, anyone who is under a hundred years old knows that anything you say on the internet does not go away, ever. If you seriously think Trump is trying to erase history, then you really should see a psychologist to be treated for your obsessive-compulsive disorder.

That support was an attempt to reign in Mitch. A quid pro quo for Mitch. I am sure. Sadly Mitch and McCain won't go away so there is an attempt to win them over, nothing more.
