Anti-Russian Rhetoric is Becoming Racist and Offensive

I'm sure by now most people have seen the recent video narrated by Morgan Freeman, painting Russia at the arch enemy of the U.S. through a ridiculous movie script analogy. Just another in the long line of people who have lost all my respect. I can understand being concerned if Russia did interfere with the U.S. elections, but we are now getting close to a year with Trump in office and the investigations which have been ongoing since the elections have turned up nothing, multiple high level intelligence officials have confirmed there is no evidence of collusion and there is no reason to believe Russia hacked the results of the elections, all we know is that someone hacked the DNC and released very damaging information... *cough* Seth *cough*...

Watching that video where Morgan compares world events to a movie script with Russian bad guys, I actually felt offended to some degree and I don't even live in Russia nor am I Russian. I've actually seen SJW people complain about the U.S. making too many movies where the plot involves some heroic Americans who fight off the evil foreigners who are typically Russian. Obviously those movies don't offend me because it's just entertainment but the SJW's do have a point in this case I hate to admit... we often stereotype other races and generalize them as if they were all a single hive mind. Russia is not a big bad boogie man and they aren't the reason Hillary lost, and contrary to what Morgan claims, it's healthy to distrust and question the MSM, they are corporations.

The part of the video where he demands the president should give all available resources to a new investigation into why he won the presidency... how can anybody watch that and not laugh? For a start Trump has publicly stated he supports the Russian investigation and will do what he can to help because he also wants to get to the bottom of what happened... maybe if you ever actually listened to the words which come out of Trumps mouth instead of fantasizing about what you think he'd say, you would know this. Anybody living in the real world knows why Hillary lost, people living in denial will continue seeking answers until they get an answer they like. They eat up the MSM propaganda while believing those who consume alternative media are the brainwashed fools.

Yup. That's pretty much the way it is.

I find the average people I converse with that get their news from the MSM are generally better informed and not so partisan as those that consider themselves "enlightened" and consume almost strictly alternative media.

Unfortunately, many of those people, especially on ATS, are the "sheeple" they claim to fight against.

I have to agree with the OP. Classifying Russian people as bad just because of their government structure is not good. It is discrimination almost as bad as racism.

Yes I did have some respect for him, many celebrities I respect have similar opinions to Morgan and I'm not going to blame them for disliking Trump because I don't even like Trump as a person, I even enjoy some of the roasting they dish out to Trump. It's quite hard for me to totally stop liking a person I already like actually, but Morgan took it too far here and so I simply cannot respect him on any level anymore.
