Extensive research?
Then he should now have a Doctorate in Pornography, then, right?
The OP say '“favorited” a tweet back on January 8'. I think it takes a bit more "research" than that to make a big deal out of this.
I don't tweet so I can't say what that amounts to. Can you watch porn on Twitter?
US senator Ted Cruz is attempting to clean up an embarrassing social-media mess after his Twitter account was discovered to have “liked” a troublesome tweet. The official account of the Republican senator from Texas “liked” a tweet late yesterday (Sept. 11) that featured a two-minute pornographic clip. And because “likes” are public, it was quickly noticed and widely reported. The senator’s senior communications advisor has tweeted a statement saying the interaction has been reported to Twitter. I don't like these people trying to take rights away from Americans.
Even if I don't use a particular right I don't want it taken away from others.
More freedom...less Government.

I enjoy porn but I think it should be mandatory on a .xxx domain requiring age verification to access. The internet needs to be split up to protect the health of the human race, I agree with this state rep. Perhaps I will give his campaign a hand out here.

too easily exposed to minors on unregulated portable electronic devices, that affects the mental health of entire generations of citizens. Since we cannot go a step too far and make a regulated presence onto the device itself, we have to compromise at the source. The access point for any adult related content should be remanded to either an industry/NGO watchdog group or whatever department/agency handles like the movie ratings.
Maybe move them all into one consumer watchdog agency that teams up with he FCC or something for pornographic material. Dating and hookup sites should be exempt for whatever reason, as a compromise lets say. Can we live with this??

Who wants to shake hands with someone who just got through bing-watching porn? That is, if they're right handed.
Satire is the way of using humor, irony, or exaggeration to criticize people's stupidity.
Saying the opposite of what you mean is "irony". The situations where there is a wide difference between reality and expectations are also called "irony".
