If there were two paths of Existence, with your free will you could only choose one. Which would you choose?

Path technology-

You and or your species/kind will develop ways to prolong or cheat what is perceived as death with technology.
There is some form of energy (biological or mineral) required to maintain the technologies required to keep you and or your species/kind immortal...
If that technology or mineral runs low, you and or your species/kind will be at risk.

Path Spirit-

You and or your species/kind basically trust? in the Spiritual information you have gathered and then compiled during your current life associated with afterlife belief/faith and or spiritual sciences & The CREATOR or GOD.

You then do your best to conduct yourselves according to the teachings associated with the afterlife.
What energy you put out will reflect back upon your afterlife location and body form.
You conducted yourself either benevolent or malevolent during this life and in spirit will attract to a location similar to your activities projected here.

Which path would you choose?

I chose that path when I was four years old as far as my memory goes. If you asked who Id be.. Id be a shaman.

I find fear in prolonging life.. Maybe because I have been trapped in dreamlands for weeks in a night real time.. Maybe thats why I wouldnt fewl good about trapping myself in life..

Now that goes along with me not being sure anything happens after life. I still want to die someday. Hopefully not soon. I enjoy the people here and the animals and trees and stuff haha.

technology doesnt scare me or anything, but it just feels so dead. As I type this on a smart phone that connects me to you. For me I choose both up until the point id be giving up my body.. Hes my only vehicle until my license expires.

One path points to accepting the Singularity. The other points towards accepting Eternal Existence beyond.

Mankind is currently walking and deciding subconsciously on both paths.
I wouldn't doubt others in the Universe also encountering the same issue questions...

I choose Yashua (Jesus Christ).

There is no other choice but eventual misery and death.

I would have to say neither. I would choose to live the span I am given in the way I choose then pass into oblivion and hope the world was improved (not matter how marginally) by my existence.

1 also leans more towards the spiritual path infolurker. It seems the technology path though would be very interesting at times (imagine once being a biological being and advanced into non biological forms to explore the universe) is more based on the intelligence of the CREATOR Creations.
Why the Spirit path is based on the intelligence of the CREATOR or GOD.

Why choose when you can have both.

Objective Science, Morality, Spirituality exists. With the right awareness you can measure it and know it.

People should already understand how to achieve a low level bliss state by reprogramming the Amygdala. That is from my point of view like a toddler learning how to stand up on a spiritual level.

There will come a time when this is common knowledge even on earth.

Honey Bunny, we were given a choice.

We were given FREE WILL as our birthing gift...

So choose something that's so simple and sweet - you have peace, forever.

Mark 12:28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”

29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e]

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f]

31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no commandment greater than these.”

It's so simple and so eternal...

Listen and learn and live...forever...

It's yours for the asking.

peace

Which path?

Neither.

I would test to see if there was an undisclosed third choice which might possibly be freedom from dependency and religeon.

The first choice is a slow self destructive end when the mineral ran out.

The second is servitude from what I understand of spirituality.

Slow death or slavery?

Door number three please.

Life Between

Between eternity and eternity
lies the interim of time;
the time of mortality.

Mortality is not death;
nor the waiting for death.

Mortality is life;
life in the interim
between eternity and eternity.

9/21/1997, slightly revised

My gods existed before me, sustain me, accept me to themselves when I die, and exist after me.

I think the concept has been discussed more than once here and it depends on the true context.

Does the premise of the OP include being "safe" from any eventuality, or just safe from the degenerative effects of "natural" aging? The implications of either are important to the discussion.

Ok. That being the case it may lead to hypercaution. Risk of accidental death would mean risk of losing eternity (whatever that means) by jaywalking. The result...eternal boredom and stagnation.
