If you're responding to me Fry2, my point is in reference to the comment made above that Republicans were immoral.

That statement is usually adopted as gospel by people who are smoking pot and doing drugs, listening to Rap and having sex at 12, and they feel that immorality is infringing on their rights to be decadent and worthless human beings.

I referred to God, because if God interacted as he is said to have in the Old Testament, 100,000,000 would probably instantly die tomorrow.

So, I see the repugnant minions have amassed in force against the Colonel, claiming the high ground and saying that I ve described Democrats in my accurate portrayal of the repugnant party.

They cry, foul, pleading,"No, wait, please. We're not all like that. We're not all gun-totin' bigots, homophobes, and deranged religious zealots. Some of us are rather decent people who are open and tolerating of others." (Little do they know that they have indeed confirmed the accuracy of my statement in that some---many--are as I have described since they try to differentiate themselves.)

Well, I have this for you. If you "run-of-the-mill" repugnants are actually decent people and not as I have characterized your whole disgusting lot, why would you be quick to freely choose to aid, support, or at a minimum, identify and align yourselves with your repugnant leaders who on many occassions openly display traits of racism, homophobia, greed, religious superiority, and bitter, ungodly miserliness.

Why would you choose to assoicate with them if you are not like them?

For exactly the same reason that you associate and align yourself with a party that pretends to be the opposite. I have to admire your tenacity though. It reminds me of the guy who carries the flag/banner onto the field of battle only to be shot down and have another pick it up only to be shot down again. "The fight may be long and hard but its not the meaningless deaths that count but the purpose."

It's a bit extreme, but I can see Col. Nick Fury's point: if you choose to blindly support those leaders who have driven apart as opposed to unify any segment of our society, and have a documented track record of doing so, you should be ostracized and painted with the same brush.
Someone please present a positive argument for the likes of Tom DeLay, Ken Starr, Newt Gingrich, Henry Hyde, Cheney or Bush? You CAN'T !!!
Continue to gloss over that he's put four convicted felons in key areas of our government and things of the like, and you'll continue to miss the reason behind Col.'s outrage.

Thank you, Last Man, this is exactly the point I'm trying to make---don't forget Trent Lott in your list either.

Ahh, because of the BIG controversy last year where he advocated State's Rights (Jim Crow) at Strom Thurman's 100 B-day party where he said that (paraphrasing) that America would be better off if Strom Thurman would've won his presidential bid where his platform was segregation and state's rights. Then, it was found out that he had said that comment numerous times in his career.

Then, Trent Lott had to go on BET to scrape and bow to apologize.

But, I guess you conveniently missed that.

I didn't miss that. I followed it pretty closely in fact.

While I don't care for Lott that much I think he was railroaded. He didn't advocate ANYTHING. He was giving 'props' to the old dude - no more, no less. No one attending, black or white claimed to take any offense to what he said. It was blown way, way out of proportion. It's funny, I don't see YOUR party getting their panties in a ruffle every time former KKK member and W.V. Senator R. Byrd feels the need to use the N word.

I like Frist better than Lott. So, I am in a way glad it happened and if Lott is all you have to gloat over that is fine w/ me because that's pretty darn pathetic but I guess the Dem party has to take what table scraps it can get these days.

Hmmmm, the dems are have plenty scandels in their own right. The pot calling the kettle black comes to mind.Or are you blind to screw ups caused by the dems?
Short sighted thinking will get you no where. Though the dems are finding that out right now.

If we ever get to a point where more Republicans like Richard Army, Jim Jeffords and others clearly stop the 'loyalty' and do the right thing, we'll be better off.
It's the reason why the current 'regime' is so succesful amongst their 'faithful' - it's in the Republican DNA to be a loyal follower, to repeat the mantra "my party right or wrong", and it's a genetic addiction that's hard to effect change against.
Regardless of the cut-to-the-core-no-hype-attached-data-and-facts presented against any Republican icon on these boards, you have an impassioned retort to the contrary, often times not only defying truth & logic, but also common sense.
The saddest being "they did it too" or pot & kettle color anologies ( which I'm sure is lost on the T-Fal generation!
)

Unlike others I have no problems admiting when I see the republican screw up.They are politicians, they lie, cheat, and steal. All of them. I wish Bush had,had the gut's to tells us that we were going to Iraq to remove Saddam.Never mention WMD's. Just take him out.
But the simple fact is Colonel is more narrow minded and short on thought than anybody here. He truly is a Nazi.If we don't think like him we are evil subhumans.

Gemtlemen, all I can say is this: Where is the Beef? Where is your candidate that is going to be the next savior of the good ole US of A? You can piss and moan all you want. You can throw all the mud you can find. You can diffently re-fill the pea-shooters! But please, please, bring 'us' a viable candidate. Actually bring an agenda more credial than your mud slinging, cause "News Flash"......it don't and won't cut the cake!

I noticed today that the stock for Kleenex actually increased. I wonder why......Democrats already stocking up on those tissues come day after election?!

Like I asked with no response from Col.: What did the democrats do for minorities (Blacks) before they were forced to before 1964.

C'mon

........and, as a minority and a Republican, I find you to be the bigot and racist here. That is the main thrust in every one of your post-"racist repugs" and the other drivel after that. You insult some very fine people in our history with that kind of talk.
And actually Colonel, it is people like you that made me quit the democratic party in the first place. That attitude that blames everone but themselves for the mess they are in; constantly painting the opposition as racist-using my black ass as some kind of pawn in the game to make the rich richer. Just like the good 'ole days you know?! I wonder how many Kluxers were voting democrats in '28?

I can't see any credible scenario where Bush will get elected - his highest poll number ever to that very question has been 48%.
I think the strategy employed around the staging of the GOP convention in NYC close to the 9/11 anniversary will be a catostrophic failure and create political blowback.
I think Gen. Clarck will be on everyones short list of VP choices, regardless if Kerry or Dean gets the Dem nomination.
If the Bush cabal decides to allow another terror attack, which is highly likely, and it pushes us toward more militarism, they'd stand zero heft against a Kerry/Clarck ticket, and against a Dean/Clarck ticket as well.

The deciding factor will be republicans who can't abide by all these 'riders' this administration attaches to everything they do - you know, all this slip under the radar tack ons that totally contradict the initial offerings stated purpose.

Ah, yes, I remember what you are talking about. Strom had a birthday, and Trent was saying nice things about the old fella. He said it would have been better had
Strom won the presidency, not stopping and thinking of every little thing that Strom ever stood for and revised the statement to exclude those things. Of course the democrats had to charge into him, twisting everything said in a benign way at an 100 year old's birthday.

Yet another thing the liberal, two-faced snakes have for which to be embarrassed. They have not enough shame to understand how to feel embarrassed, though. You, in the way you have conducted your filthy campaign at this board, are carrying on in that tradition.

I'll bet Robert Byrd (Dem, KKK) is proud of you.

You're so blinded by your bias and hate you wouldn't recognize the truth if it was spelled out for you in ten foot letters and given to you on a gold platter.
Your chosen job is to twist and distort the truth so as to mislead people into making wrong decisions. Assuming you are what you have led us to believe you are.
Unless you are a corporate attorney, in which case I could have a sliver of respect for you. At least then you would be dealing with contracts, agreements and statutes in the right environment, rather than duping sovereign men on the land into paying for the misdeeds or infractions committed by the straw men they have been made to think they are.

Filthy. And, as I've stated before, irrelevant. But entertaining. Kind of like a caustic sit-com looked at for pitiful humor and not taken seriously. "Colonel", yeah, right.
