Bernie, needs a tombstone saying,.."I tried and I'm not sure, what I was trying to do. But I tried. Please don't be mean to me". Even though I don't like the guy, I could respect that. But he doesn't deserve anything relating to "American patriot" on his grave. Pos commie. Hope I didn't spell p.o.s. wrong. I'd be upset about it!

Someone getting real about Bernie. That's refreshing.

This whole medical thing should not be the mess it is.

Any new program needs tweaking.

He's mentioned favoring a single payer system several times during the campaign trail.

He "mentions" all kind of crap. (A ban on all Muslims, for example.)

I was talking about the article you linked.

Why didn't they do that in the first place instead of passing Obamacare that actually raised medical spending considerably which led to high rates of insurance. I am starting to think the Democrats have no brains. I guess it will never get back to most employers giving health insurance anymore that covers everything. Most people cannot even get raises anymore, all the increase goes to healthcare premium increases.

Senator Obama said in a 2002 interview that he wanted everyone in America to have good healthcare, courtesy of their U.S. Government. But, Americans wouldn't accept this massive shift in how it's delivered... unless a "back door" approach was used to get the country there.

This backdoor method was to essentially create enough dissatisfaction with current health insurance, that most people would welcome a less-costly, more comprehensive system.

Since Medicare already exists, there's no reason to reinvent the wheel. Just strengthen it with more resources. Medicare wouldn't be free. Right now, it costs seniors about $550 a month to "buy in", if they've never contributed to the Medicare trust fund. Naturally, the cost/premium will be less for enrollees under age 65.

Here's a another link. A Single payer universal system is basically Medicare for all.

www.politifact.com...

All I'm saying is trumps going to make it happen. It's what he's wanted. It will kill Obama care and make good on other campaign promises.

Why did you mention the Muslims ban? I thought we were talking about Healthcare.

Your source:

Trump continues to praise single payer -- a health care system in which the government pays for care for all citizens -- at least as it used in other countries. But he has spoken a number of times, if vaguely, about a private system and at one point said he does not support single payer in the United States. Since then, his responses have been less clear.

Trump says all kinds of crap.

Why didn't he push "his" Congress to do it?

Timing I guess. I don't work for congress or Trump. I just read news articles and make assumptions.

Also my source is heavily biased, sorry bout that.

Where's Trump again?

Depends on whom you ask. I have him at 90% approval. Wife has Trump at 3% approval...because he denied her the opportunity to see the first female President of the USA.

Trump wanted this to from the get go. He campaigned on modernizing Medicare.

www.thefiscaltimes.com...

I really liked that FISCAL TIMES article. President Trump's approach is very logical and non-insulting to intelligent middle and upper-middle class Americans..

"If you like what you have, keep it. If you can't get good coverage, the government will help you get it."

That's all anyone wants, dammit. Obama said similar but the ________lied!!

It's a politifacts article, so yes. Remember Trump and the bleachbit politifact? Their a joke, I picked it specifically because of it's mostly true rating. Though you'd like that, guess not.

So...what happened to Trump's promise?

I really liked how President Trump worked with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi last week to accomplish 3 major tasks, in less than an hour. Republicans have not done a single (noteworthy) thing since returning from Summer Vacation, 8 days ago.

President Trump will, in a heart beat, work with Dems/Repubs to make Medicare available to anyone who wants it. The Republicans are constipated, and the bi-partisan commission is now considering throwing $8.5 billion dollars into a pool, to entice health insurers to come back to the market and offer crappy coverage in 2018.

Can you dispute what they cite? That he's said all kinds of crap?

Please do. Or maybe you can find a less biased source. One that says he doesn't say all kinds of crap.

It's a good read and dated 2016. I think he's been setting up for this from the get go. He needed the previous Republican bills to get shot down to keep Republicans happy. They had their shot. Obama cares a disaster. He's already pulled funding from recruitment. Seems like He doesn't want more people signing up. He's been meeting with dems recently presumably talking about daca. They probably talked about health care.

I've read somewhere dems want to run with this Medicare for all as part of their vote for us rhetoric in 2020. if Trump gets Medicare for all or a single payer universal system In front of congress before then, they'll be pretty much forced to pass it.

They all end up lying or failing to keep promises, with Trump I see him doing his best to keep his word. I have never seen that before in a President.

Done with you tonight Phage. I apologized for the biased article but you just still keep at it.

Do you have another line of regarding Trump that isn't "says all kinds of crap"... Get it though your head, every politician "says all sorts of crap".
