I live in a country that receives aid from the US, and I am by all means up for cutting it and giving it to your own countrymen that need the relief efforts more.

There is a legal definition for treason.

In the United States we are free to express our opinions but opinions carry no weight in law.

I would rather live in a country where this is the case. Being convicted for an opinion would suck.

His point was to make sure his base knows that he's all "America first." Even though he knew full well that his amendment would not go anywhere.
