they go on and say "theres no bigfoot. you need to go to the looney bin" for hours on end. go to craigslist forums "supernatural" i encourage you. but if you battle them and win, tell them off, they might hack you as what happened to me.

Not saying it isn't an advertisement balloon. But what was it advertising exactly? If we don't understand the message what the point of it. Seems to be a crap tool to advertise a product if it's so high we can't read what's written on it.

The point being that it broke loose from its original moorings and drifted dragging its rigging/mooring lines. The LAPD helo would just be checking it out as a hazard to flight safety. Not a lot they can do about it but monitor it.

No doubt there will be lots of people putting in FOIA requests for the details and any helo camera footage. For some people they will never buy that is simply an advertising sphere

The ones in the links on the previous page have cameras onboard. The video in this post (here) even says it can be used for aerial filming, even showing the footage from the drone.

I just found a video where some guy calls the sheriffs dept and gets an answer. Supposedly it was a car advertising.. but they dont know which company it was. Er, so if they dont know which company it was, then how do they know it was a car ad??? LOL

I wish it was easy to transmit experiences nofear... but at the same time, I wouldn't wish my own experiences on anyone. When I hear comments such as the one above, I feel a bit sad that you're yet to have an experience beyond the norm. I don't mean this in a patronising way... it is just frustrating to talk against your lack of experience because nothing I could say would change your views. You'd be more likely to think me mad.
Only a personal experience will do, and quite frankly, you actually need to want it. You don't always get what you ask for though. Truth is way weirder. I hope you do have a life changing event though, frightening or not, because it changes how you see everything. Don't think we're all mad though... it is the reality that is mad.

Yeah, it was all a bit vague, and if there was to be any kind of cover story, that is the most likely thing to say (car dealership balloon).
The fact remains, it doesn't seem to act like one.
But let us say we take them at their word, a balloon like that would likely be easily found somewhere in the area on Google street view, tethered to a dealership. Of course, LA is BIG, so not an easy job. Might be a good place to start though.

so tommy i read the article and on sunday people saw this 'creeped out ' air born still thing. and then on monday, there was an advertising balloon. the trick here is to convince people it's one thing or the other. if you go to this facebook group www.facebook.com... and scroll down a bit since apparently there was a "ruckus" for it, but none of the people are scared, just posting photos.
