Swedish people dont like confrontation, they ignore evreything thats happening around them. They wear blinkers and only see what they are doing. Its the most frustrating thing about living here. There are alot of multicultre areas with very few problems. The areas with the biggest problems are where the muslim immigrants live. However, is this news? I grew up in California and now live in Ny. "Youth gangs" sell drugs in both places extensively, including in my current neighborhood.

Sorry Muslims drink alcohol as everybody else. First time I was in Marocco I was surprised by number of beer cans around ways. Explanation was simple: Car is save place to drink alcohol.

I have spent a lot of time (months at times - off and on) in Sweden and other countries in Scandinavia along with other places in the world, as well. It's still a very safe country despite some, such as yourself, trying to paint a picture of gross exaggeration in order to sell a false narrative re: MASSIVE elephant in the room. In fact, I spent a 4 days there just a month ago visiting some old friends. I haven't lived there, but I have spent enough time there over the years—just like I have in the US—and have gotten a personal sense of the overall nature of its society. Sweden is still a very safe and civilized nation when compared to other nations.

Sweden ranks 18 out of 163 countries according to the global Peace Index (2017) as one of the most PEACEFUL nations on the planet. To be fair: Sweden was ranked 14 out of 163 countries in 2016 — falling four places in just one year.

My country, Canada — which has taken in one of the highest number of refugees and immigrants since the '70's till present — ranks 8 out of 163 countries according to the Global Peace Index (2017) as one of most peaceful nations on the planet. Its rank has not changed since 2016.

America ranks 114 out of 163 countries according to the Global Peace Index (2017) as one of the most violent and/or less peaceful nations on the planet. It was ranked 103 out of 163 countries in 2016 — falling 11 places in just one year.

When reading the Global Peace Index summary of the criteria that is calculated to give nations its ranking — one will come to understand it is not entirely related and/or limited to immigration and foriegn born populations. In fact, that issue plays an almost irrelevant role.

Lol, plenty of drugs openly sold on the streets of my town and I'm in a 99% white indigenous area.
I can buy heroin, coke, MDMA, speed, and weed, within a five minute walk of my home, and it's certainly not a no-go area, just not enough cops and most people turn a blind eye if nobody is causing trouble.

I think this is a haves and haves not issue, call it what you will.

What I have seen in Germany is you have a portion of people that arrive learn the language try to get work and become german, the problem is the number of people who either cannot find work, or do not want to become german (wont learn the language or adapt to the culture they are living in) appears to be growing rapidly and that is the problem.

Least thats this Yanks opinion based on the North Rhine Westphalia region observations over the last 3+ years.

Sweden is totally different, smoking a joint is the same as smoking heroin here in the eyes of the law. And the penaltys are really #ing harsh. Swedish people do not openly sell drugs here, there are areas that are more tolerant to drugs but the police are not. It really is another world here.

Im from bristol, born and raised. I took drugs for many years, i take nothing now. I smoke weed everyday though. I know how easy it is to buy drugs in england, but belive me its not the same in sweden.

I assumed Sweden would be similar seeing as drugs are so easily available in England and other European nations I've visited.

I can't help but consider that the defence of 'tolerance' and 'political correctness' is undermining the fundamentals of the not-only swedish society but european at large. Most people will be shocked by the next statement but I don't care, it is a basic zoological principle : the parasite has to adapt to its host, the host does nothing but serve the interst of his guest. The problem is when the parasite is not satisfied by the passive accomadation provided by the host and turn into an agressive predator.

It's the first i have heard if that story, I cant take watching/reading swedish news. Its absolutely controlled/censored by the goverment. However from reading it now it says he was been aggressive and abusive to them while eating the bacon sandwich. I dont believe he would be arrested just for eating the bacon infront of muslims.
