Get rid of the uglies.

There are programs that can show you what your kid will look like.

They will go in front of a panel of beauty experts to get a thumbs up or down.

So do the parents have a say in the event mom is carrying a downs baby?

Information presented by Pro-Life sites is extremely bias. And in this case was incorrect.

Yeah.
We say it's murder. In fact we're very biased in naming killing a CHILD in the womb MURDER.

Pro-choice? Hell, I'd hate to have my life interrupted! I’ll call 'it' a 'mass of cells' and KILL IT...

WHILE YOU FORGET - If someone murders a pregnant woman it's a double homicide.

BUT! If 'mommy Fearest' does it herself? It's sanctioned and in many times paid for by the State...while pro-choice people blind themselves to the facts and suck up on the tit of 'choice'.

And I'm naive? LOL!

And being run over by walking out the door is a "risk you take" when going outside, but I'm sure you'd do something about it if there was an injury.

Yeah, but killing someone isn't what I would do about it.

Neither is abortion as it's not a someone. No matter how you try and twist it, zygotes aren't someones. They're on the way to maybe being a someone (potential life), but certainly not a someone yet.

When is the exact moment that the potential life becomes an actual life, in your opinion?

In my opinion?

3-4 months is when I would say it's a someone, rather than a something. But opinions differ from conception to first breathe (some religious folk believe life is only life after it's given its first breathe from god).

That's not what this is about! It's about awareness. It's about choice. It's about altruism, and finally, it's about insurance and medical coverage!

Uglies indeed! Ugly is a state of mind. Not a disease!

Normalizing eugenics.

I wonder what trait they'll "eradicate" next.

Hopefully the willingness to post on internet forums.

Well of course.

We can't have free speech or different opinions now, can we?

If we eradicate the willingness to post on internet forums, you can still have all the free speech and different opinions you want. Just not on internet forums. You'll have to annoy your friends and family in person.

People as it is do not look after their healthy babies properly.

There was a story recently of a 7 year old autistic child dragged through a school by his head ,by the teachers!

There are not enough resources it is.

Ya know, the thing that makes me sick?

It's so EASY for murderers to prey on the innocent. The weak. The unprotected.

I'd like to see any of you who think these beautiful people, are not people, walk your walk - go ahead - walk up and kill them.

They're not worth it right?

They 'keep you from doing what you want in life'... Right?

They're 'leaches on the system and bank accounts'... Right?

Oh wait, that's right. You can only kill them when you DON'T HAVE TO LOOK THEM IN THE EYE!

And you people think you're soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo smart.

These people live productive lives.

They are loved.

They are wanted.

And needed.

And admired.

And on and on and on...

AND!

They are more 'human' than you will EVER BE...

Because there is not ONE of these beautiful people, who would ever condone killing YOU, because you are not, like them.

peace

Your own grandchild is one of many. Just one. That's all you have to show for all the concern and bitching. You need to practice what you preach if you have the gall to tell others what to do. You don't want the medically borked to be aborted? Take care of them YOURSELF. Quit having a childish hissy fit about how others choose to handle the medical outcomes. You have a lot of slack to pick up before you can preach more.

Forget the DS kids. Let's think of all of the medically screwed kids put up for adoption. There are more waiting than there are adoptive families looking. When do you plan on adopting the unwanted medically f#d kids out there? in lieu of that, putting them through abandonment, the system, and being unwanted by you yourself in the first place is not a pedestal you're going to win on. Don't be so arrogant to dictate what others do when faced with insurmountable medical care issues if you're not going to lead by example and take care of the medically fooked yourself. One grandkid isn't enough for you to claim the moral high ground with when so many are pressured to be carried to term by people like YOU, and unceremoniously ignored by people like YOU after they're born and given up. You bitch and scream about what others do, yet never help, never have the home overflowing with deformed kids, the ill kids, the fragile kids. You never do anything but stroke your own egos, at the cost of others' freedom to choose what is best for them & their families.

You can take your holier-than-thou attitude and reflect on it in the mirror.

IMO, people like the OP, due to their warped views, are among some of the least moral ones on Earth. "Don't kill it, you demon! Make freedom to choose illegal!! But f# you, I'm not taking care of it for you and neither are my tax dollars. You're stuck with it now, horny whore."

That's some serious BS right there. Morally righteous my ass.

Sorry I was misunderstood.

Uglies as in uglies not DS, not even close.

Designer babies will be coming soon.

Some of my friends have adopted ds babies from china and a high school friend has a 25 yo with ds.
Do they have problems anymore than normals?
Not that I've seen

Sorry I wasn't clear enough.
I could have done better but I still want to know if the parents have a choice.
