Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO, the largest group of labor unions in the country, quit President Trump’s manufacturing council Tuesday evening, with the labor leader saying he refused to accept any tolerance of “bigotry and domestic terrorism.”

“President Trump’s remarks today repudiate his forced remarks yesterday about the KKK and neo-Nazis,” Trumka said in a statement. “We must resign on behalf of America’s working people, who reject all notions of legitimacy of these bigoted groups.”

They are dropping like flies!

This is 4 people who have now resigned from any association with the president.

How many more?

Good. One less snowflake to worry about. You know I think it would be a good idea for the democrats in the senate and house to follow suit and resign their positions. And some republicans also.

He is definitely draining the swamp.

Some people are just too sensitive.

Every little nit-picky thing sets them off.

So you believe he should stand for the bigotry?

The swamp is now self-draining. Positive suction. Sweet.

He is definitely draining the swamp.

He's draining his own council which he recruited. If it's a swamp he is draining, it's his own swamp.

If need be then yes. He can hire them, fire them, or they can resign. It is irrelevant. If his swamp has to be drained also I say good.

How long will it take for Trump to denounce him on Twitter? Has he already?

The suspense is just killing me. I don't use twitter but ATS gets it up plenty quick.

Trump IS the swamp. Some people are smart enough not to get sucked into the muck.

Sometimes I find it amazing that people just don't want to admit Trump is right with what he said. There is no argument against both not being blamed, because they both are to blame. Both are to be blamed for Heather's death.

Some people are inclined to believe that it is a left, right, thing. I am guilty of that. It is not a left right thing. It is a life death thing.

People are looking for a reason to blame someone for this. When everyone should be blaming not someone, but something. Something that is like the very air they breath. Hate.

Hate is to blame for this. The hate we as a nation have endured long enough. If the masses don't figure out that hate is not a good thing, then we are doomed as a nation altogether.

Some people do know this. I am willing to bet that most of the people on this site knows this.

Trump isn't draining the swamp. His presidency has turned racist toxic and no thinking republican wants to be associated.
He can't even keep a viable cabinet. Losing support isn't the same as draining the swamp....believe me.

Already a lame duck and barely even started. He brought it all down upon himself by supporting the white supremacists.

You don't get to be ceo of a major company if you're a sensitive snowflake, that's just an absurd suggestion.

And if they were so corrupt, why did trump invite them into his special club in the first place?

You trump supporters are sounding more and more desperate as you try and defend your guy.

Maybe they've all resigned because they're as genuinely disgusted by trump as everybody else outside of alt-right echo chambers is?

I'm beginning to think you are Trump-incognito, you can really belt it out. And always with the smiles...

It's starting to creep me out. It's all good and everything - you love (or possibly are) Trump just...I don't know, don't mind me.

No more so than attacks on free speech that has been been going on for quiet sometime now. Where was your outrage there?

Haven't you heard of the saying,

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
