So get real
...

Follow your own advice. It isn't like this is hidden or difficult to find information, unless of course someone were to desire to be purposefully ignorant.

The University of California, Berkeley, (also referred to as UC Berkeley, Berkeley, Cal, Cal Berkeley, and California) is a public research university located in Berkeley, California. I underlined the important part in case the sentence was too long to read.

This sort of thing reminds me of the old days. I've read about workers getting sacked and made homeless when their politics failed to align with those of their employer, usually the lord of the manor.

It disgusts me that those who call themselves the left are happy to rekindle such a vile practice.

It's not as if the guy was an equality officer or someone in HR is it?

I haven't supported doxxing in this thread and the post of yours I responded to was not about doxxing.

It's obvious to anybody who read it.

Hate manifests itself in many ways, including race, color and creed. Hate is hate. Its up to us, "we the people" to show "the government", "the deep state", "republicans and democrats" and whoever else is hell-bent on dividing this country that it wont work. Wake up people!! "They " are succeeding in dividing us! Politicians and the MSN are the race baiters, they are the ones doing their best to create racial division in this country. Who among them is talking about healing? Its all about amplifying the minority hate groups to perpetuate the lie of racial division. We can show them.

Yes, yes you did. With two posts. I responded to ONE of those posts. The one where you called the employer an overreacting snowflake for firing a Nazi.

I agree w/what you're saying. Companies typically give their employees an "employee handbook" which details the expected code of conduct, rules, etc. It's smart business that if an employee does something that damages the company's brand or image, the employee has to go. Otherwise, customers and other employees will start to associate the company with that undesirable practice.

With that being said, I admittedly only threw in the union line to be facetious. My State's seen most of our union efforts get crushed, yet the employees still complain about being fired on a whim. And citizens in many other anti-union States have the same complaints, yet still vote to crush and weaken unions which could've helped resolve their complaints. The irony was too juicy to pass up.

Lol "rekindle such a vile practice"? You make it sound like at will employment was going out the door until this employer just decided to invoke it to kick out a nazi and furthermore you appear to be blaming all of the left for this guy getting fired. You really need to slow your roll and go deny some ignorance.

Nah, we're just anti-Nazi. You know, the group that did a lot worse than simply fire the people whose politics they didn't align with. Do any of these ring a bell? "Night of the Long Knives", "Reichstag Fire Decree", Kristallnacht, Lebensraum, Porajmos, Holocaust, WW2.

ETA: Though it's quite telling how many people here are being apologists for this stuff. By all means, carry on.

A Nazi lost his job?

Hold my beer while I sob uncontrollably about how "unfair," Nazi's are treated in the greatest nation on Earth in the year 2017.

"Play stupid games...."

Shoulda stuck to wearing his mommies clean blankets so my lil' Nazi can remain anonymous

It's great these Nazi clowns are exposing themselves

I'd never hire a Nazi, and I'd laugh my ass off if a Nazi whined about being "discriminated against," to me

I was on the side of the business owner that didn't want
to bake a cake for a gay wedding and I am on the side of this
business to fire this man because of who he is as well.

More rights of property to their owners I say!

Getting fired is the least of this kids problems. When he goes home he will have to face plenty of people that hate racist nazis. He will be mocked and might get the dog ***t beat out of him to teach him a lesson in manners.

It's amazing how many people have been brainwashed by the MSM and proudly flaunt the fact they've been brainwashed.

Racist was one of the most misused words over the last two years and now, the word Nazi is taking its place.

Just because you attend an event where there's white nationalists doesn't make one a Nazi. By that same logic, anyone who shows up to a BLM event is a white-hating racist.

This country is going down the toilet, where an increasing number of folks have little more intellect than to just label their opposition. They can't see the terms "white nationalists", "Nazis", "Nazi sympathizers", labels and buzzwords flooding the MSM right now, it's all intentional. There's always an agenda behind it. Fools can't see that though.

Most prove they don't even understand history or what a Nazi actually is/was. Much of this is backlash against the white middle class being ignored by politicians for years, them feeling they've been put on the back burner while minorities, immigrants and illegals get more respect and higher priority. That's entirely different than wanting to stick Jews and the Roma into ovens. People don't have to agree with it but the insulting of intelligence here and atrocious understanding of history is quite embarrassing.

That's pure capitalism for you. An employer can terminate an employee, or end his contract for any reason whatever. It's not covered under EEOC.

Oh Yeah it's pure alright.

Especially when companies like the hot dog stand pay taxes.

It certainly is pure capitalism. Taxes don't matter.

If you want a pure capitalistic state, employers can terminate employment contracts for any or no reason whatsoever. Just as the employee can terminate that contract for any or no reason.

I wouldn't work for a neo nazi and I won't work for a supporter of violent leftists either. So if I were to find out that my employer does such, I would terminate my employment. I would expect my employer would do the same if he/she found a photo of me in jackboots or waving an isis flag.

I believe in 3 strikes you are out.
Maybe I missed it in this topic and this would be somewhat of a plot twist but the guy resigned, he didn't get fired.

sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com...

On Monday, Top Dog issued a statement saying, “we spoke with Cole White. During that conversation Cole chose to voluntarily resign his employment with Top Dog and we accepted his resignation.”

And coincidentally

Following the resignation, Berkeley police received information about a credible threat made against the business, Sgt. Andrew Frankel said.

Police kept their eye on Top Dog’s three locations overnight and officers will be making extra patrols this week.

But not consequence. yes, assuming for the moment he is one, his right to spout his vile hate is a protected right. He can say it, but there are also consequences.

He maybe, just maybe, ought to have considered that.

Were I an employer, both he and the anti-fa idiots would all be in extreme danger of losing their jobs. They reflect upon me, and my business...the employer is well within his rights, their rights, to terminate.

My only question is this: Was there anything even remotely resembling an investigation? Anything new since this morning?

It doesn't matter if the guy who attended was not part of the groups that also attended. Anyone attending should have had the two brain cells to rub together to come to the conclusion that attending a rally that -would- be attended by plenty of those groups and people, would have plenty of media.. and therefore you risk the consequences of being identified. Ignorance is hardly an excuse for that level of stupidity.

As far as the business goes, of course they reserve the right to get rid of people who might affect their business adversely. They are a business - their job isn't to make sure that guy has a job regardless of his personal views. If his views don't align with their business and can actually cause loss of revenue.. of course they are going to fire him.

It is not as if hate groups are commonly accepted in business you know. There is a reason there is usually a category for web filters in security spam filters and antivirus for "hate speech" and "hate sites." Right alongside the selections like porn, guns, alcohol, etc. It's undesirable, and employers have the right to get rid of those whose lifestyle choices could impact their business.

If you go to church.. you probably won't get fired from any job. If you attend a hate rally.. what would you expect? Why is this even a thing?
