And in context the quote is meaningless. He said it, it's a sales pitch.

Breaking News! Criminals use real estate to launder money.

...and I loved this part "whether Trump knew about it or not" Language spin is an art form. Also noted they refer to him as Trump and not "The President" or "President Trump"

To say Russian money makes up a disproportionate cross-section of their assets is putting it lightly, given the decades of financial support Trump has received from Russian oligarchs and the mob. Which I would like to add, are basically part of the Russian government.

I was waiting for that subtle piece of sophistry to rear its head. Now the Russian mob is a part of the Russian government. This is the result of the insinuation that every Russian is a part of the Russian government, a Russian spy, a russian oligarch. A lie, of course.

Why would you be "waiting" on that? It's common knowledge the Russian Mob is an extension of their government, in a lot of ways.

That's a basic fact that's in any book about the Russian Mob.

Even if we assume you are right, it's a logical fallacy anyways. Just because SOME work they do is for the government does not mean everything they do is for the government.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say Trump is working exclusively for the Russian government.

When all else fails, drag them goalposts over there..

Not what I said. The Russian mob.

So far I see ZERO evidence of anything. Assuming you can prove a connection between Trump and the Russian mob, you still show no connection to the Russian government.

So

Trump is in the Russian mob now?

Is bank of America in a Mexican cartel? Because there was actual money laundering of BILLIONS over many decades that was better documented than this.

Wait, MOST banks with branches along the Mexican border or operating within Mexico have quietly paid off millions in fines for laundering BILLIONS in recent years for Mexican cartels.

That wasnt a problem though.

Trump didnt know about a laundromat or some other such BS.

Do people realize that in one breath they say Trump is a fraud that only sells his name as a logo on properties and doesnt develop them, then they also say that he operates each and every one down to the smallest detail.

Which is it?

You cant have both.

Either he is in the business of trademarking and promotions, or he is a developer?

Even if considered a developer, though he does do both, you would not be able to deny that Trump as a person or director of his business entities is no more powerful enough to take down the Russian mob and stop them from using some far off laundromat for gambling or what ever, than the Russian government in Moscow is.

But hey, the proven fake news anchor did say Russia Trump possible collusion.

Iraq, 911, WMDs.

So if there is no evidence Trump was aware or involved in wrongdoing why is it newsworthy? Isn't that the sort of thing you look into and find evidence of trump involvement before you plaster it on the news?

Oh, sorry, I thought you were referring to Trump in that post.

I have to ask, did you read the article associated with the OP? Because the article is about Trumps Russian Mob connections to his businesses over the years. These are fact, and public record. Including the raid on Trump tower for Russian money laundering in 2013.

Want proof of how connected the Russian Mob and government is? Do a google search or pick up a book about it. It isn't some hidden information.

I had assumed it was common knowledge to anyone who's ever studied the Russian Mob or Russian history after the dissolving of the Soviet Union.

We are supposed to take the word of a guy who is trying to sell a book as evidence? I am sure a lot of the people selling these type of apartments in Big cities around the country will not deny a customer buying their units. Don't ask too many questions and you become rich. The guy was a Russian Immigrant, legal in this country. Trump may be guilty of looking the other way to make a sale, but many people sell things in this country and act the same way. I can go to the stores in town where half the sales people selling things will sell you something you do not need or something more than what you need. Look at Wallstreet and the corruption in the financial sector of our country, they take anybodies money and profit by using it.

Trump is guilty of being a big businessman. Politicians are most often deceivers and often do things to get campaign contributions that are just as bad as what Trump did. Hillary was much worse. Why can't we get truthful and Honest people to apply for president, why do we always have to choose from deceivers?

Dude, it doesn't matter if you have the sources or not. You'll cry FAKE NEWS anyway. Why anyone would bother to show you a link to anything is beyond me.

Dudemo5, you might not be here that long, but it didn't take long to see how it works around here..at least when it comes to the politics.
(other forums are much better)
Truth is they either know already but prefer to talk gibberish, or are afraid to look.

no one has said anything about Trump being involved personally in anything. i am not one of these people that is die hard anti-trump, but you have to be suspicious of anyone in general. i just do not understand the vitriol spewed at anyone who says anything factual that pertains to trump. it really is like whoever can yell the loudest or be the rudest wins. and i think the fact that he is capable of creating this level of just absolute "eff you i'm right so whatever you say is met by total defensiveness." is something we should question. the word ignorance is spawned by ignore.

And what illegalities did that raid turn up? I read the article, I see nothing connecting Trump to anything.

Basically they wanted high end apartments. Trump had them. He is one of many people they bought from. Therefore Trump was involved in the mob.

It's a silly argument without actual evidence.

From the beginning I said do an investigation. Find the truth. But everyone should STFU about it while it's going on and not try to convict him in the media. Do an investigation, find the truth, be impartial and non-partisan. In the meantime he is the President, and the sore loser liberals need to get over it for the good of the country.

If actual proof turns up, run with it.
