I'm a bit flustered....

Why can't I upload JPEG files onto a post?

They are photos taken directly from my iPhone.

It says that only image files are acceptable (obviously)

JPEG is a standard image format.

What gives?!?

If they are .jpeg, try changing the file extension to .jpg

I think I remember a problem with the former.

It has to be a JPG or PNG file.

Is it too big???

If so - you can send it to me and I'll modify it in photoshop for you.

True. There is a size limit for upload... I think around 2mb.

However, I don't think there is an error msg associated with large files.

This always works with jpeg files. Just change the extension by deleting the e.

There ya go!

Good to know too - thank you!

Meaning I know there are size limits - just didn't know we were not warned.

Yep. If it's too big it will upload it like normal, it just never shows up in your library.

Yep. Just remove the e and it'll work.

It's not easy. I've tried changing the extension, and resizing.
I still can't post any image from my iPhone, or iPad, without going through other programs to change everything, just to find out that it still doesn't work. After much frustration and fiddling.

The only way I've been able to do it, is to transfer to, and upload from my laptop, which isn't working right, so, no photos here.

Anywhere else is easy, pics just work. Not on ATS though. I have given up until they change (fix) something.

You can also use an outside source, such as imgur to host them and then post them in thread.

Maybe check the file size. If over 3mb or so they won't upload.

(max allowed file size for avatars is 75kb, BTW)

Thankyou for taking the time to reply . What frustrates me is I have taken all photos with my phone.. so they should be same size.. correct ? I have successfully uploaded 3 pics without an issue... but I will try and see how I can change pic size if that is problem.

Once again ... I appreciate your time. Itā€™s difficult to try and help someone who is ignorant of these types of issues... so kudos on you for the effort.

Back to the uploading šŸ¤Ø... Iā€™m not giving up yet

640 pixels wide is the maximum width, height doesn't matter I'm pretty sure.

I donā€™t think size is the issue. Iā€™ve just tried uploading the three pics I do have , again, in the same manner as first time, and I get the ā€˜does not support imagesā€™ message. Did they change something about uploading from pic files on your phone ? Frustrated and confused...šŸ¤”.. but I will get this sooner or later... prolly later šŸ˜
