Maybe they are trying to discover your main point? I am confused as to your intended direction for this thread.

Maybe full support for this technology and we need to all be included in this advancement?

I'm not bemoaning anything I am making an observation based on reading about googles investment portfolio

Why don't you have your own thoughts on the topic?

Did you do any reading outside of the total garbage a few posters have been spewing for a few pages?

Probably not, you want to have a heart to heart which is retarded

Over the past 2 years, ive began to follow the same path.
Im still commited to living in the city limits til my lease expires, but ive learned to appreciate the simple joys such as refinishing a piece of antique furniture.

You guys have no fricken clue because you have done no reading or research on the topic, so because your lazy and most likely incapable of drawing your own conclusions from reading about the direction of googles investment portfolio you are now trying to have a counseling session with me

It shows a serious lack of intelligence

I am just trying to help you BTW, if you guys want to have a heart to heart about how different ideas I might have on ways you can expand your intelligence let me know

For me personally, I wouldn't mind being part of a less technically advanced society. If there is a breakaway section, then more power to them.

We will never change our current structure by coveting what TPTB covet. I am heartened by the direction of our youngest generation. They have the power to topple the current system.

? I can have a conversation without abusing my readership. Looking at your other thread

"As a supporter of free market principles, I'm having to face the reality of our automated future"
www.abovetopsecret.com...

As you can see the horses did not adapt quickly enough to the new economy and acquire a new skill set so they died off.

And yet horses haven't gone extinct - . Put another way.....what jobs that were around your grandparents generation that have dissapeared caused those people to starve? Can you bring some facts to this fearmongering?

I dont know about his ideals, I can somehow presume to be reading between the lines of what his fears are and yet he is evasive. If he would spell out those fears - he eluded to google and whilst I have my own opinion on some nefarious depopulation agenda. it would help this thread if he was a little bit more forthright.

EDIT After MOD warning
EDIT - I am not attacking the OP _ just need some clarification as to where he wants this discussion to go,

Speaking of toys, I have a $150 mobile phone (3 years old). My plasma TV is 8 years old. I dont feel that I am missing out anything in life. There are only so many variations of a toy one can enjoy. Sure I may not be able to afford the new immortality drugs that may be available in 10 years time...meh...I have lived a full life.

Spending a lot of time living in the now. The carnal mind in survival mode will always keep telling me I live in a universe of scarcity.

I just tell it to stop.

Humans will always be useful - even if just as batteries. There will always be something for you to do.
You could always pick up a job as a servant to the gentiles in Elysium in the future.

i think even though the OP doesnt seem to be explicitly asking for what we should do about the breakaway civilization he did articulate pretty clearly that he believes what the results of that breakaway civilization will be.

1)fewer jobs as robots replace us

2) perhaps less buying power as we are pushed out of typical capitalism into an new economic paradigm.

i think he left it pretty much wide open for commentary in that regard.

i think the remake of the move "total recall" with Collin Farrell (total rekall) shows one fairly realistic example of what kind of dystopian future awaits us if the Elite get what they want. However, i actually think that movie is even too kind and too optimistic. Like i said earlier i actually do believe the Elite will wipe out most of us and retain only those who can be shown to have something to offer the new world order paradigm. So...highly skilled people will have a better chance at hanging around at least for a while.
