no it's not, just because i won't accept that you find that people that make a butt load of money and don't really give a sh@@ about others. and you think all the fancy stuff they sell is important, and not be content in your own life, make your own way and think that capitalism and socialism should change so you can have what they do without working for it. doesn't mean it's over my head.

i got news for ya, a Utopia where men are in charge will be worse than it is now. there will always be have and have nots.

it's not outdated, in fact it tells people that if you are constantly worrying about what joe and suzy blow have, you miss out on your own life trying to get what they have.

life is more than possessions or wealth. nor is life he who has the most toys when they die wins.

For it is written
"Be content in whatever circumstance you find yourself in"
I have been on the very bottom with no place to go but up , and had all I can want. My wife and I have never been less than happy
Let them that know , understand
If more folks did.
Peace to all...

That is why I think we can recapture our small towns, because of technology. We don't need a bunch of useless fancy tech, just what is beneficial for jobs and independency. The feds could get back to what they are suppose to do, protecting the nation from foreign military aggression.

i saw the coming technology coming 20 years ago. i worked and owned a industrial/Commercial Electric repair service. saw automation coming in robotic welders and production line controls and equipment. i didn't cry that the world needs to change so i could continue to repair them. i learned to work on them, save my profits up to buy the equipment to diagnose them.
i even had to turn down jobs because i hadn't learned yet or had the equipment to do it.

so ya, i know exactly what your talking about. hell i can't even hardly repair one of my own cars now, saw that coming to, bought two that i can repair if the other breaks down but i don't cry and whine about it.

You keep making his point. This is not just about you. Try running your tech without electricity, you don't deserve it, you didn't discover it.

That antiquated thought process is on its way out

They actually teach that in sales classes

Baby boomers are more likely to accept their fate and deal with it

While millennials are more likely to fight for a better future

What you call whining I call a vision for a better future

Good luck with that

are you nuts, how i'm i making his point? he saying that capitism / soicalism needs to change so the have nots can be on equal grounds as the ones who produce the products and make profits from it, and from those profits are able to buy nice stuff that other people make.

as i said as a consumer you have the power to buy what you can, even if you have to save up. or you can can use other alternatives. other people don't owe you anything. other than respect and some help if your in a position that you can't help yourself.

get off your a@@ and work for it, and be content in yourself.

fear monger much?

It won't be like that, social media is a spotlight and enlightens people. Thus, the old paradigm perspectives fail to grasp the overall sense of it, rather defaulting to a state of doom and paranoia, oh the rich people are up to something!!...

Lmfao, smdh, great topic and one to be talked about, but nonetheless, a nothing burger.

Communities have been growing and support for your neighbors grow, I'm from San Antonio, TX. My area is alive in farmers markets and helpful services, poor and hungry? Numerous places around town that give free food. Many of the wealthiest people pour huge amounts of money into infrastructure and other things.

This doesn't exist in whatever future or version of life now you seem to be having, a problem you'll have to work out yourself, perhaps a change of scenary?

ATS is more like a guage, I willingly plug back into the economic system of slavery because I have ATS as my gauge to see past the BS. If what you say is true, we would've seen it and made massive threads on it.

Naw, this just seems like a swipe towards rich folks because of your inability to take the data, thats out there and available and go make your fat buck. I recently met a person in an online game who I found out lived here an is really wealthy. Met up at Starbucks and furthered our conversations, totally picking this mans brain.

And I dont ?
My post was not about technology
I now have 3 custom built kick ass PCs and 2 gaming laptops . 5 50" kick ass TVs .
Yet I remembered gaming on one outdated dinosaur. On a 19"CRT. Barely could afford the electrical bill
Was I any less happy ? Hell to the no
Life is what you make it.

wow, is that all you got? don't pretend you've never heard that before. people that don't have a rebuttal to fact always resort to trying to belittle what others say.

it's simple, some people can afford to have nice things others can't. or some people have talent and others don't. there are a whole host of things that saying can apply to. it has nothing to do with casting down.

is it their fault that the others don't?

no.
