Not to be a bummer, but before I tried it for the first time I'd get a wide-range of information on the subject. I've tried it myself and whether the binaural beats or just the focus on inner, I did have some spacey experiences.

My take is that you might be opening yourself up to something you don't understand. Whether psychological/neurological or spiritual, it's something to take into consideration is all I'm saying.

Search for binaural beats and the Monroe Institute (Bob Monroe.) At least partially funded by the intelligence agencies. Some neat sounding stories, but some scary ones too.

Thanks for that, GUT! That's the info I was concerned about. If the intelligence agencies are involved in any way, that alone is a reason to think twice. I think I'll pass.

I listened to the video you shared earlier today. About 20 minutes in I also felt very strange, like I was somehow lighter, my arms and hands also tingled, and the muscles in my mid back spasms for at least two minutes. Not a painful spasm, just a funny twitch. My muscles twitch so rarely that it's hard to believe our muscle spasms were just coincidence; I think it's very strange that our physical experience with this video is almost identical. I have had minor success with out of body experiences; I have left my body and gone places twice. Hundreds of failures and two successes, and even those two successes I couldn't control what was happening. I was back in my body as soon as I got too excited that my experience was "real".
Anyway, I say all that just to say that I am miles from being an expert on OBE's, but to let others know that they are a real phenomenon and there is definitely something to your video.

110 hz frequencies are associated with the stomach and ovaries. Not for me. I've always listened to the 528 mhz frequencies which are associated with an overall feeling of balance and well being. It's been theorized the 528 mhz frequency can repair damaged DNA.

There were some tests conducted in the late 90s by Dr. Glen Rein of the Quantum Biology Research Lab in New York. Essentially his test proved the 528 mhz frequency did have an affect on human DNA with absorption rates. However, the claim of the frequency being able to actually repair human DNA is still yet to be proven.

I will frequently combine multiple 528 mhz frequencies and the results (for me) are a very, very focused and relaxed state. Here are two in particular I will combine. You will need to synch the rhythms to fit your preference. Usually allow one to play and pause the other briefly until you have the sound you want.

As for as I know these kind of things are just states/frequencies the brain operates in, which I find a fascinating topic.

First link I found about this: mentalhealthdaily.com...

Nothing fancy because we go through al these states multiple times during our sleep cycle.

The dangerous part it seems, is some of these states leave you open to some sort of 'subconsious manipulation'. That's why I don't like these YouTube vids and the likes because you don't know what's in there/what they do.

As for the self induced states ... not sure what influence(s) may happen there. That's the 'woo' zone

Bi- beats are amazing.

When I started taking Champix for quitting smoking, I also started using binaural beats.

It was like i discovered a new world.
I was having nightly OBE's or Lucid dreams.
I would wake up in the morning with the desire to go back to sleep.
Like literally, I would wake up at 6 am and was eager for the day to go by so I could go back to bed and get back to my new world.
The experiences where so vivid and real, that almost 2 years later, I can still remember them all like it was a real event in my life.

That really opened my eyes...or rather shut them I guess, to that there's a lot more going on than we perceive in life.
To me, they are real memories, real experiences that happened in my life.
To an outsider that has never tried it, I would be seen as a lunatic hahah.

lol. everything you just described is a known, and common, side effects of Chantix. It had nothing to do with what you were listening to. Gullible...

Not sure how you would go about achieving that.
You would be lucky to find headphones capable of 50kHz let alone 500MHz.
You're out by 4 orders of magnitude.

I dont know or remember what 110Hz has to do with Aliens...

But I will say Binuaral Beats in general have changed my life.

I was ultra skeptical as to their validity, but I have a high school friend who got his MD, he's a neurologist and he swore by binaural beats for therapy for a range of things. He actually wrote his thesis on the subject.

I ended up trying it out, and it really made a difference, my focus and ability to learn and apply things went through the roof. In addition to that I had more energy and my depression subsided.

I really dont know how bi-naural beats arent more mainstream yet.

Because most of them have no beneficial effect whatsoever.

And everyone reacts to them differently..rendering one persons findings irrelevant to the next.

Also...people who are already more "tuned in" will usually find no effect or will even be sickened by many of the beats.

Oh.. one last thing I notice everyone does wrong with binaural beats when they start..

You have to listen to them

As in.. they have to be the only thing you can hear.

If someone is talking to you 4 ft in front of you, you shouldn't be able to hear them.

Binaural beats and solfeggio tones are interesting topics. I have very minimal experience as it really started to freak me out and I stopped really looking into it.

I have a friend who claims he got 'outside' help to create a custom BB track he gave to me (a watered down version he calls it) and it is CREEPY. By the way my friend calls this track the doorway. I tried it with hi-end headphones and had to stop just a few minutes in since it felt like I was being watched almost immediately. The sound itself is a sinking, undulating pulse that makes you feel like you're falling away from your body.

I tried also to make a 'mix' of the track using dj software to slowly blend thru all the solfeggio tones (which are quite relaxing) and then at about 30 minutes it slowly fades into the creepy BB track which itself is almost 30 minutes long. I also am a bit freaked out and stop it every time just a few minutes into the BB.

There exists the technology to put voices in your head, so I'm always a bit cautious now before seeing what something does to my mental and physical wellbeing

Really cool thread and topic, thanks for letting me share

High pitched quite "whine" sound much like an old TV tube being turned on? Random, not always there or muted unless you really focus on it?

I was suuuper skeptical too.

I don't usually believe in things of this nature (aliens are more my thing.. I usually stick to science on most other rhings)

But after using them..

It really did change everything. I don't think it's a placebo either because I was skeptical and I w asnt really looking for any specific results.

The actual physical feeling though is kind of crazy.

With certain tones you get that tingly feeling like when someone grades they're fingers down your neck.

Hi can anyone help? DO NOT have a clue about any of this but I'm really really interested in what's going on here....

So, I've listened to the YT vids as offered by member JimNasium above...actually fell asleep to one! and now I've downloaded two apps. from Play Store (Android on Samsung)-

Binaural Beats Therapy
&
Brain Waves - Binaural Beats.

The latter allows the user to set the left & right waves. So, I set left to 110 Hz & right to 110 Hz. Is this correct? It displays 0.00 Hz delta. Or should left and right be set to any value so long as it totals 110 Hz output?

I would just like to experience this altered state of consciousness and would love to get into the whole meditation & OBE states I read/hear about so often (been interested/ looking for a "how-to" since an early age.

Thanks fot any assistance given.

these binural beats and iso tones don't really do anything for me. i listened to them allot over several months and nothing exciting happened. some 528hz stuff can make me really relaxed but that is about it.. the solfeggio tone generator on this site and some of the other awesome sound generators here i really enjoy...

there are loads of cool sound generators here. mos are just like thunder storm. white noise and stuff like that.. actually there are so many i havent really explored them all but i really like this particular one
mynoise.net...

On a positive note

there does seem to be some good testimony.
