2) Asteroid/Meteor. Sooner or later, a big rock is going to hit us again and cause a ton of damage.

3) Volcano. Yellowstone going boom destroying a chunk of the US and creating a winter that lasts for decades?

NASA directing asteroids...(towards us?)
HAARP (and satellite weapons) controlling the weather
World Bank's cutting off funding for national debt owed..

Faked deaths of major world bankers and celebrities rise....
As they descend into the underground utopias...

Meanwhile EVERY SINGLE type of difference between humans is being exacerbated beyond any level of reason.
Making the surface idiots squirm and viciously fight amongst themselves ravenously, as the Elites quietly step out of the room....

Great scenarios and all are plausible.

It's not the catastrophic event that is the issue. It is the wake of the catastrophic event. Most people don't know that within 36 hours of a catastrophic event where all civil services are taxed beyond capacity and are essentially useless to the majority of the population is when civil unrest will begin. This is the real SHTF situation people need to be prepared to deal with. Not the catastrophic event.

I think everything in the universe has been decaying since the big bang. From galaxies...to our teeth.

Russia will invade the US through Mexico and China through Alaska . There will be a deadlock in Asia and the Chinese nukes will flow...

Drop a nuke on each supervolcano complex, carpetbomb the icecaps and emp every western country capitol and stock exchange then sit back and watch humanity outrace nature in seeing who rips eachother appart first. Once the surprise and shock of the bangs clear its gauranteed SYOA and mob mentality wil set in and mobs based on family groupings or larger race/religion groups will infight eachother to get rid of resource competitors.

Of course the elite .1% will be long gone into hiding with all the nnecessaties to some hideout whether its still on earth or mars or out there...

population control virus/disease unleashed in 3r worlds or the poor Americas or SE Asia accidentally begin to effect the country which manufactured it and then it spreads to other countries like the country which manufactured it.

The trucks stop rolling. Seriously, that is all it would take. Store shelves of food and water would be gone in 72 hours much less with the panic if the story is reported. Gas would be gone within 48 hours. Water from the tap would be undrinkable within a week.

After that, all hell breaks loose and its every family for itself. The general population would kill eachother off with guns n knives over resources as soon as the hunger, reality sets in.

Government and the military will become nonexistent as those people retreat to fend for their own family + friends.



Eta: i think this is the easiest to happen method. My favorite would certainly be something more like Yellowstone blowing where we could all perhaps band together to survive the eternal winter and try our best to ride it out as a whole.

But basically any scenario would more than likely end with how the first thing does. Human strangers are not good at cooperation even for the greater good.

People are getting sick of being forced to work endless hours for low pay.

Several graphs and historical documents are saying it is time for a new ice age... If a new ice age is upon us then food production will be severely disrupted accompanied with the inevitable price increases at the grocery store. Many people are already having problems feeding their families with what little money they have... You can look at Venezuela to see what happens when the food runs out...... and that was simple socialist government corruption and ineptness.. with probably a little help from certain agencies of the west ?

As the weather turns more violent/cold and the local growing seasons are disrupted then the mass immigration will begin just as it did during the time of Rome's fall from the glory days..

Nothing really dramatic happening all at once but if this scenario actually happens it will come like a thief in the night to rob us of many things people take for granted.
