The sites making these claims are hardly reliable, impartial news sources. They're far right supporters.
It's so far beyond fake news.

In fairness, sometimes you have to read fringe sources to pick up stuff that the MSM won't handle. But (a) You have to 'sup with a long spoon' and (b) This isn't one of those times anyway, because it's bogus.

purported 'local Sweden' article on 'no-go' zones

Are they no-go zones? Well, not really. This term caught on in international media after it was used by a columnist to label these areas, but police and emergency services have themselves repeatedly rejected it, arguing that these are areas with a higher police presence, if anything. That said, emergency services do often adapt their behavior, for example by making sure that there is proper back-up, by entering the areas via alternative routes, or by reversing their vehicles into the areas in order to make sure they are able to leave quickly if needed. Emergency services have, for example, been exposed to threats, stone-throwing, or vandalism of their vehicles. But it's not black and white: often, nothing of note happens.

often nothing of note happens! whew!

reading between the lines, I'd be worried.

Except it won't be a holy war. I'm not sure the majority of Swedes process a faith beyond secularism anymore. The Muslims sure do though, and that's what will put the Swedes at a big disadvantage. The Muslims will die for what they believe; will the Swedes?

Yes, but no more worried than you would be wandering around a poor local housing estate late at night on your own in any part of the world.

And anyway the story is FAKE. It's fabricated. The far-right have just made it up to stir up islamophobia. All of you guys posting your islamophobic thoughts are being manipulated.

Well at one point or another one comes to the conclusion that you cannot fix stupid , you guys are happy in your circle jerk of ignorance...

Better that than as the lone woman in a circle jerk of Muslim men giving me a truly multi-cultural experience before they head off to be treated for the scratches and bruises I managed to inflict before the beat the fight out of me.

Actually, it was The Winged Polish Hussars that wiped out the muslim occupation of Vienna Austria in 1530. The Poles chased out the muslims that invaded Europe. To this day, it remains the most successful Calvary charge in history.

Winged Polish Hussar circa 1530.

Not quite accurate. It was a siege intended as a prelude to attempted invasion (not an occupation), and the force behind it was the Ottoman Empire. Which was a Muslim power, true, but that doesn't make it represent Islam as a whole.

There are always some people that would rather surrender/submit and convert instead of go to war in order to keep the peace.

Not necessarily a bad thing.

Surrender/submission or conversion by coercion or force is a bad thing.

But, but, that's the whole foundation of Islam.

OK, so as example, if the muslims were attacking Manhattan, but they occupied New York City, then it was the Polish Winged Hussars that kicked their A$$ out of not just New York, but America. Does that give you your warm and fuzzy back.

I wonder what will happen when the day comes that the Muslims successfully overthrow a European country from within?

I don't know how it could be any clearer: austerity, properly understood, works.

The Swedish Model: Government Austerity

There's no point in trying to explain the Swedish thing because some people obviously have too heavy an emotional investment to listen to reason but this is easily debunked.

Let's study history: the idea that studying Rome gives us an insight into current affairs was popular in Shakespeare's time - think Julius Caesar - but pretty much died a death in early nineteenth century. Gibbon is an antiquarian text and a literary text but its value as a historical text is limited to showing us how people thought in the eighteenth century.

Study history and you'll find out that the Roman Empire was built on immigration and movement. Anyone from anywhere could join the army and, on discharge, have full citizenship. That's why there were African soldiers in Britain, Spanish emperors in Rome, Roman traders in India and so on. What's more, life in Rome was different from life in Judea was different from life in Londinium.

This arrangement worked for over four hundred years in the Western Empire. Four hundred years.

The Western Empire collapsed for many reasons, not at all clear. The Romans left Britain almost overnight in the fifth century, leaving a Romanised culture. One of the main reasons was the difficulty of keeping a largely decentralised empire - governors had immense authority - together and the expense of defending it. Particularly as the rest of the world was starting to organise; nations are a greater challenge than tribes.

Study history: internal politics? That had been an issue since Tarquin Superbus in the fifth century BCE. It's an issue in every culture.

Study history.
