What if Democrats had their way?

Let's say the party funded by the richest elites George Soros, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg had their way with no opposition whatsoever, what would happen? Taxes would increase and increase funding for more and more welfare. Eventually taxes would be more than 90% of income for the middle class until middle class disappears and everyone except the richest elites would live in public housing, using public transportation, go to public school, on public healthcare, on public food and drinks. There would be no middle class, no poor, just 0.0001% richest elites and 99.9999% everyone else dependent on welfare and paying 100% tax and trapped in such a condition. The richest elites, as usual, hardly pay taxes, and control the rest of society like the society depicted in the 1988 movie They Live where conformity is the name of the game. What do you think?

Sounds about right the left loves telling us what to do. Not that they would live that was, but what about the children. It's for there benefit is the rally cry!

I really wish someone would remake They Live. I want a really dark and cold version. The original was a classic but the movie was too campy. I'd like Chris Nolan to direct a new version.

We know what would happen if Democrats had their way... examples are plenty. State of Illinois, pretty much every major city that has high crime and in poor fiscal shape is run by Democrats. Venezuela?

Nop. Communism never had any taxes and private properties and welfare. Democrats have high taxes and private properties and welfare which creates a 2 tier society comprising the ultra rich elites and the servant class trapped by high taxes and welfare.

There will always be freeloaders who will abuse the system. Who will do whatever they can to not have to work. It is a small percentage, but still a problem all the same. To Whit I say there should be drug testing and work/ educational requirements. With job assistance programs to go with it. The ultimate goal is to have a healthy and educated populace. Which is more beneficial than trickle down economics and would create all sorts of new industries and wealth.

Maybe the answer isn't entirely free education but more subsidies, more scholarships, more apprenticeship programs, and further regulation would go a long way to making college more accessible. As college tuition has gotten out of control and adding more taxes without price regulations will only make the matter worse.

I am also in favor of an optional tax system where each individual chooses the programs their tax money goes to. With a required minimum of a 10% flat rate all the way up. You are also required to choose a minimum of 3 programs and contribute a minimum of 3% to each with no limit on programs chosen and not limit on percentage of income contributed. While just a concept I believe this system would best represent the voice of the people while still breeding competition and innovation.

Clearly if they had there way, no honest American would own firearms anymore, America would have open borders and everyone would link arms and dance in eternal bliss while unicorns prance beneath rainbows.

But seriously, the way progressive rhetoric comes across these days it would not surprise me if given free reign Democrats would bring back slavery. But only for straight white men

Good thing you guys got out of your fema camps after those terrible 8 years, must be tough being on the right in the usa.

If the Dems had their way, they'd turn the US into something resembling a communist society rather quickly. No personal freedoms, no opposing political viewpoints allowed, no right to self-defense and certainly no private firearms ownership, no private property rights and everyone would be equal in their economic misery.

Then again, the GOP only seems to be lagging them by a couple of decades, so we're probably screwed either way.

Communists don't have those things because nothing belongs to anyone. It's all controlled through the state bureaucracy to make sure its distribution is "fair." So you have a large political class at the top who has to administer that state system and make sure everything works, and, of course, for their "selfless" work on behalf of the people, they end up getting the best of everything. You see that tendency emerging with our own bureaucratic elites now. For a bunch of so-called public servants, the three counties around DC have the highest per capita income in the nation.

Then you have the ones who cheat the system to enrich themselves. You see this tendency in many school districts in the US which are badly mismanaged. How else do you think we can have such obviously poverty stricken school systems in places like DC public schools and yet be spending over $20,000 per student per year there? It's because the ones at the top, in a top heavy bureaucracy are awarding themselves (legally or not) the lion's share of that money instead of it trickling down to the benefit the actual students.

This is endemic in all communist/socialist command economy systems where the people have no recourse to other options.

I just heard on the money channel that meeting with Trump with the rich guys, they want more visas for start up businesses to "get the best talent". Globalism. Last time it was convenience stores that we helped brown people from India and Middle East start up during the 90's.
