So this popped up a little while ago on the ADS-B Exchange website. I have my filters set to Military, but a 787-8 showed up over Pennsylvania, heading out of New York, heading West. The callsign, and registration information showed up as 2-DEER and Deer Jet, with a United Kingdom country of registration. The reason it's interesting, besides showing up on a military filter, is that Deer Jet is an Asian company, that leases VVIP aircraft, including the 787-8, which runs $70,000 an hour to lease.

If you dig into the registration, 2-DEER shows as owned by the Ocean Transportation Facility Investment Company. They're based in Hong Kong. There's no clear indication where it's heading, beyond West at this point.

So, an Asian company, registered in the UK, flying West in the US. Now, what could there possibly be out West that would cause this jet to fly under military call signs/protocols?
Nah, it's "Just Another Non-Existent Terminal" right?

that website is pretty sparse to say the least. Seems like it's pretty far away from home.

Not this time. I don't think it's actually registered in the UK. I'm still looking into it more.

It's actually had an interesting flight history recently.

June 14th, it came out of Hong Kong to Los Angeles. It stayed in LA until the 20th, when it went to Las Vegas, then on to Newark. Now it's on the way back West from Newark.

That's what makes it fun. Its flight history is even more interesting. It's even more sparse than the website with the company information.

Casino executive?

Would make sense since Hong Kong is a one hour ferry ride to Macau.
Newark = Atlantic City
Las Vegas = VEGAS BABY!

Not with a flashy 787 nor is is a more humane rendition aircraft

The company has been in existence for a year

Which would make sense, but why would it show up under a military filter. Every other aircraft I'm showing is military or government.

Imagine if you owned a 2,400-square-foot luxury home with the ability to fly you and 39 of your closest friends to anywhere you want in less than 17 hours. Next month, China's HNA Group will take delivery of a new Boeing 787-8 private jet. As configured, the 787 Boeing Business Jet, has a range of almost 9,800 miles even when packed with 40 passengers, luggage, and fuel.

With a flying time of about 17 hours, the plane can reach virtually any destination on earth, Kestrel Aviation Management CEO Stephen Vella told Business Insider. From start to finish, the aviation consulting firm, Kestrel Aviation, oversaw the creation of this 787.

Same thing? I looked for Dreamliner and this caught my eye! Another 100 million after the purchase price of the 787!

Oh my!

That's them. They currently have two 787s, and I think have more on order.

Chinese business aviation company Deer Jet will operate the VVIP Boeing 787 Dreamliner on show here when it arrives in Hong Kong in July.

The aircraft will be the first VVIP 787 in the world available for charter. It will be managed by Hongkong Jet, and Deer Jet will help promote it and arrange flight crew and maintenance, says Deer Jet vice president Frank Fang. Both companies are part of the HNA Group, which also includes Hainan Airlines and its fleet of Boeing 787 airliners.

The 40-passenger luxury airliner will be well-suited for high-end luxury for the wealthy, says Fang, and Deer Jet will help try to develop them with companies such as the China-based HNA-Caissa Touristic Group.

5 bathrooms! Granite sinks, California King in the Master Suite... when is enough, enough?

TEOT: "OK. You win. You have the most toys!"

Which is why super sonic jets are quietly making their comeback. "You've comfort? We got speed!"

We had the Sultan of Brunei come though Hickam once upon a time. The sinks and fixtures in the lavatories were all gold. Not gold plated, not gold lined, actual honest to god gold.
