What type of aircraft cruises at 62000 feet at 38 kts
www.flightradar24.com...

Edit: it is now showing 3000 feet so it was probably a data glitch. Sorry. It keeps changing.

The fact that it is in the vicinity of Devonport Naval Dockyard may have some bearing.

You might have found a chemtrail spraying plane.

Your link isn't working for me.
It's either a weather balloon or a Google Project Loon balloon, theres quite a few of both those types airborne over North and South America at the moment. Does FR24 not give you a description in a box when you click on it?

Filling up with more chemical I bet, keep an eye on this one, could be on to something.

What is project loon?

I'm open to explanation. I use the sight all the time and I've never seen anything change so quickly or drastically as this. It probably is just a data glitch.

don't think a balloon would go up and down that fast.
i'm going to go with a glitch in the system. anyone see a cat walk by twice?

Really don't want to sound like a smart arse, but...
Google it, will take you 5 seconds.
Summary: internet to remote areas, or areas with poor or damaged infrastructure provided by very high altitude balloon.

If you type "Balloon" into the search field of FR24. (Well, the app amyway, not sure of the website), it will list all balloons airborne and broadcasting a position via ADS-B

Project Loon is to have high altitude blimps above cities and provide high-speed wireless Internet via the mobile network. It's like a giant wifi router in the sky that eliminates the need for cellphone towers. It can be used where construction of a network of base stations is too expensive to maintain (African regions where there are large numbers of climbing critters and frequent lightning storms).

You get some fun data glitches with ADS-B. I've caught aircraft thousands of feet below sea level, to millions of feet up according to the site I was using at the time.

Does that mean that you think this one more likely to have been a glitch, than some type of balloon?

Yeah. With an altitude change that fast it most likely was a data glitch.

Interesting site. Zooming out, you can see the traffic is really dense over west and central Europe more so than just about anywhere else in the world. I've never put much stock in chemtrails but if they really do exist, Europe must be ground zero.
