I also want to make it clear that I in no way want to call for the censorship of anyone as a result of this incident.

I have no problem criticizing the rhetoric that many in the media and politics have used, but I will not call for the government to try to limit their speech (unless its a direct call for violence).

Wait that is contradictory isn't it?

If you call for the government to limit the speech of others to call for acts of violence, than how will the government respond if those violence speakers wish to defend their right to say those horrible things? Well the government inevitably must use violence to enforce it's will.

So therefore you are calling for censorship and violence of those who call for violence (which bizarrely cycles back around to you in the end).

I don't mean to be picking on you or anything Grambler, I'm just saying that we are screwed and things are gonna get worse no matter what. There's no way out. The logical conclusion is that we are going to hurt ourselves and become more and more tyrannical as we keep fighting harder and harder for freedom.

The more we want good, the worse things will become.
We are in quicksand. We are sinking.

The current world paradigm is unsustainable and will implode upon itself.
We got trapped into self-defeating ideologies and circular thinking.

Right. I'm sure you could find somebody somewhere that this guy had contact with that was spewing all sorts of vitriol. Would be interesting to see what sort of communications he had on facebook, I think.

Excellent insight!

There's a big difference between insanity (like Ted Kaczynski, a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic) and mental conditions that contribute to heinous acts like what we've seen today.

The guy was obviously doing a slow-burn, his innate hatred of "right wingers" fueled by a steady diet of Alt-Left media like Rachael Maddow (he seemed to be a big fan).

My question is, was this guy on any psychotropic med's of any kind? That would give us at least some indication of what his mental state really was.

We are in quicksand. We are sinking.

I won't argue with that.

That may be why the pages were shut down. I would think the FBI will be reading through his Facebook Messenger.

Is it just me or are all of the leftist having to eat their Narrative of hate and play damage control on their extreme views.

I have to admit that I wonder about the mental makeup of the type of person that is a 'big fan' of Rachael Maddow.

Gingrich nails it.

I like that he won't apologise for telling the truth.

Touche
None of your credentials..how could you be so wrong?

You are welcome to prove me wrong.

I am basing my personal assessment upon the VA shooter's own writings and past history.

He might well have had a mental condition of some kind, but he was not "insane", IMO.

Again, I would like to know if he were on any SSRI or psychotropic med's. That would indicate he was suffering from a mental condition, but that does not automatically cross the legal threshold of "insanity".

On the Dallas issue the main site and the Soros guy made soft spoken 'we dont support violence', half ass half hearted statement for the dallas event specifically, and that was it. And for that whole weekend following the Dallas event they also held celebratory protests even blocking I95 in Atlanta if im not mistaken. And following that moment there was either another mass murder event or full scale scale riot with literal blacks hunting white people on the streets with random brutal beatings and shootings, pretty much weekly for pretty much the remainder of the year.

And every single time it was NOPE nothing to do with BLM.

That is a reasonable theory..insanity might of been a poor choice of mental defect.

B-b-but tolerance! Understanding! I thought the left "evolved" beyond using violence and hateful rhetoric to achieve their goals. Peace, man!

At least we can see pass the farce now, right?

You've been fanning the flames this entire thread....

It's left-wing hate groups like ANTIFA and BLM that are fanning the flames and liberal celebrities like Kathy Griffin, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Snoop Dogg that are normalizing violence against elected officials.

It's time to stop ignoring the pink elephant in the room and call out these hypocrites on their bull#.

It's not just you, but it's very temporary. We've already had scum in here trying to justify this by saying Republicans are trying to murder 24 million Americans with the healthcare bill.

The top Dems and the media will be back to that narrative in short order.

This shooter (I won't use his name) was not "insane", IMO.

He was a True Believer™ who was a disciple of the Alt-Left MSM and particularly enthusiastic Trump-hater Rachael Maddow.

He was a political activist.

No "insane" person writes rationally and with purpose like this would-be assassin.

[Virginia Shooter] Letters to the Editor

What was the name of that hateful comedian last week in the news for the cartoon of President Trump's disembodied head hanging from her anorexic hands? She very well could be to blame as much as maddow and the alt-left media.

The comments on his last post certainly exploded, it was crazy stuff from both sides.
I went to one of his friends pages and saw posts from people there, calling him out for being a friend of the shooter.

No its not contradictory.

I don't think the government should limit any speech that isn't a direct call for violence.

I may not be an optimist, but I do not share your fatalism with you.

I will adhere to free speech and non violence principals in my life, and hope to share that with others.

If you feel its not worth it because all is lost, then you will self fulfill your prophecy and have no moral compass.

a reply to: shawmanfromny>>>> The guy was a radical extremist supporter of Bernie Sanders and very anti GOP and hated Trump. The left used these incidents to vilify anybody they opposed even if usually it turned out that the perpetrators weren't conservative. They blew the Pizza place shooting into an attack against " fake news" and internet news, but its been revealed that shooting was staged and the shooter was actually an actor who worked with Hillary and the pedos. Giffords shooting was used to attack conservative radio hosts, but then the shooter was shown to be a nut not politically affiliated with anybody. So now we have this guy and Sanders is going to HAVE to take the fall. He helped instigate the hate, and he's attacked Trump and promoted violent protests. He'll either have to resign or be forced from office by recall. And the dem leaders will have to decry the atatcks against Trump even if they feel like they're eating # while doing it.
