I know what he said. As a socialist, I'd be considered hard Left, would I not?
But I am not the type of person he described.
He's talking out of his ass in order to perpetuate the narrative that is being built in this thread.
Many of you (not necessarily you) should be ashamed of how ignorant you are.
Human beings tend to speak in general terms. It's not about "perpetuating narratives".
cannot let a good crisis go to waste.

Really?
White supremacist terror accounts for more incidents over the last 10 to 15 years, than does any other kind of terrorism in the USA.
White supremacists are not known for their liberal, lefty mindset.

Thinking out loud...
Hodgkins on could not have gotten the gun locally... the gun laws there are crazy, especially with an out-of-state ID. He had to have brought the gun with him. That means he didn't fly, because guns are not allowed on planes. He had to drive.
I'm trying to remember how long that takes... looks like at least a 12 hour drive from Danville on the Illinios/Indiana state line. He had to have driven at least overnight, and it is my experience that very few can drive straight for 12 hours and still be able to do what he did.
I guess it's possible he got to DC earlier and was already there, but that is even more disturbing... it means he had this planned for days. This was, either way, NOT just some guy who lost it! This was an assassin.
Someone earlier mentioned he had a business of some sort? Or am I mistaken? Why would he leave any kind of decent life, drive a couple days, and risk his life to attack Republicans? This ain't adding up.
FOX now showing protest photos of him...

Guns actually are allowed on planes, you just can't bring it in the cabin with you. It has to be in a hard-sided case, locked, unloaded, and checked as checked baggage.
True statement guns are allowed on planes....I hate flying my rifles with me...Baggage handlers always rough up my case and somehow knock my scope out. I always take my hunters to the range when they get off the plane to make sure their scopes are still dialed in./......
I haven't tried it yet. Driving state to state is a nightmare because of the tangled web of thousands of laws. This is why we need national reciprocity.
On a related note, I've got some #ing pizza coming.

I always try. The problem is that your self-admitted label has been hijacked and used by those you disagree with.
I can sympathize. The flag many of my ancestors fought and died under, a symbol of pride and heritage, has been hijacked by hateful fools who try to twist its meaning into prejudice and hate.
TheRedneck
the liberal media and its divisive rhetoric are the hook for multiple police officer deaths and the continued downward spiral of American culture, until people pull their heads out of their ass and wake up to the large scale brainwashing then this will only get worse

So...
I spoke up for you against a label being twisted to falsely describe you.
Will you speak for me when others try to falsely denigrate the symbol of my heritage?

I have the CCW in FL as well as some non resident CCW for other states. Also retired LE so I lean on LEOSA. I can carry in most states legally except the for a very limited few...Makes it nice that's for sure...

Agreed and at the same time the polar opposite of the equation uses that hijacked label to perpetuate their own narratives.

I've never understand all that nonsense surrounding the Confederate flag.
People should have simply left all of that alone. If it's part of your heritage, fly it.

Go check your numbers again.
Also, white supremacy is a right wing issue. Its not a matter for discussion. Its a fact. The Earth goes round the Sun, the Solar System is only large until you consider the scale of the universe, and white supremacy is undertaken by those who most predominantly vote Republican or further right than that, which is why white supremacists are rightly described as far right.
Try again yourself.
