The Arabic term "Islam" itself is usually translated as "submission"; submission of desires to the will of God. It comes from the term "aslama", which means "to surrender" or "resign oneself".

The Arabic word salaam (سلام) ("Peace") has the same root as the word Islam. One Islamic interpretation is that individual personal peace is attained by utterly submitting to God.
 
As in other Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, etc.), peace is a basic concept in Islamic thought.

The greeting "Salaam alaykum", favored by Muslims, has the literal meaning "Peace be upon you". Muhammad is reported to have said once: "Not one of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." (Great Muslim scholars have said that the words ‘his brother’ mean any person irrespective of faith.)

In this instance, it is very unfortunate for you that 'the experts' will tell you (whether you choose to believe it, is irrelevant) that a small group of people does not represent the whole community.

You see, it's as simple as this - ALL catholic priests are pedophiles, just ask any Jesus hater, they will agree with this sentiment. ALL muslims are terrorists, just ask any Mohammed hater, they will agree with this sentiment.

I have already stated in this thread that I KNOW that there is at least one mosque in America that teaches jihad and violence. They've been caught.
Your claim is that ALL if not most are teaching Jihad in secret. In order for you or anyone to convince me is to go to a few mosques with hidden cameras. The videos you posted are isolated events which I have ALREADY known and accepted.
So go on change my mind with proof.

Lets break down the difference between Christianity and Islam.

Lets compare the founder of Christianity to the founder of Islam. Christianity has civilized its part of the world while Islam is stuck in the 7th century when it was founded. Christ gave humanity the example of a man who would care for the sick and the poor and who would give up his own life for the sake of humanity.

Even if it is all BS it is still the founding story of Christianity and over the ages as Christians work out how to live with each other the result has been an ever improving society.

If you have ever lived or been in the Middle East, not on a “Granny Bus Tour” or in the Military you would have learned this. ALL Islamic true believers hate ALL of Western civilization. It does not matter if they are Shia or Sunni.

WE are all considered infidels by both groups, and are doomed to death. If, we continue to buy the disinformation. We are always being manipulated from multiple sources. Two things bring peace to a religion. Time and a "new testament" or savior. Christianity has the new testament and Jesus to save it from the violence of the old testament. You'll notice that historically it was still violent for quite a few centuries and that time has tamed it.

Judaism had Christianity to tame it and make it peaceful and of course time. It is the oldest of these three Abrahamic Religions.

Your narrative is not really an unbiased and objective one I am afraid .

Muslims believe that Islam is the last message of Creator before end times arrives .

Message is as follows :

There is no God but God .

You need to look into the characteristic of local Christians & Jews & Pagans before the arrival of Islam .

They would dig a grave in the desert and place their unwanted Girl children alive and cover it with sand , slowly suffocating and killing the kid .

This was before Islam came with the message : Peace .

I thought the first paragraph would show that Islam means Peace .

Almost all the mosques you go to and ask any muslim they will confirm that it means Peace .
