The primary religious book of Muslims is the QURAN/KORAN. I don't want to dissect the Quran verses that call for Muslims to commit physical and mental violence. Rather, I want to ask:

Why are we now seeing so many small groups and individuals using the "attack infidels" verses as excuses for killing innocent people who pose no threat to them?

The Quran has existed since Common Era year 609. Have some additional directives been added to the Quran in recent times? I don't recall anywhere near current levels of fanatical, illogical, senseless violence from the followers of Islam, before this century.

Does the Quran also teach that LOVE is more important/powerful than HATE... like the Holy Bible?? If so, can't THOSE passages can be leveraged to combat the violence from Islamic-Muslim radicals who say they are DEVOUT followers of the Quran?

If devout Muslims LOVE their parents, siblings, etc.., threatening them with punishment could be an effective deterrence to other young Muslims who might otherwise be tempted to kill innocent adults and children.

So why is there NOW THIS BIG FLARE UP IN HATE, against countries/people that pose no threat to ISLAM, and have even bent over backwards to facilitate Muslim integration??

The Bible specifically tells you that if you are being assaulted and your wife intervenes and try's to stop the assault.. but in the scrum she grabs your opponents Johnson, then you should chop off both her hands and neither man should feel bad for her...

I suggest you look up Sayyid Qutb. He was a Radical Muslim who happened to be a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and during the 1960s called for Jihad against the West.

In fact many Islamist organizations were inspired by him.

Also I would blame Saudi Arabia for exporting Wahhabi Islam across the world using their oil money.

Some people even blame Hollyweird for bringing many people to Radical Islam

The point is Islam offers a clear alternative the the degenerate western lifestyle being pushed down on us from lefties on high. The more ridiculous it gets, the more attractive Islam becomes to those who are disenchanted with western culture. Our own religions have all either joined forces with the looney left by cherry-picking jesus quotes that are congruent with their libertine lifestyle ("just love everyone man"), or completely waived the flag. [Note, I am not part of any organized religious group, btw]

Conservatives have completely lost the culture wars. Everything since the early 90s has just been delaying actions, putting up minimal resistance, and eventually giving way.

My point is that there is no existing culture or religious structure to counteract cultural Marxism and for many disaffected people, Islam provides an attractive alternative. [By no means am I supporting Islam itself---just noting the reality that it presents a cohesive counter to the current cultural narrative]. Also the same reason why orthodox religion is seeing a resurgence in Russia and why Putin is so popular among many conservatives.

Islam does have a point. The idea that Western media is exporting insane sexual mores to Islamic societies via its control on entertainment is factually correct. I fully expect to see Bill Nye referenced in ISIS, MB or al Qaeda literature/video in the very, very near future (they used Miley Cyrus MTV bit where she was eating out a fat woman's ass and that's nowhere near as objectionable as Nye's schtick to a person of conscience). The reason they will is because they don't have to twist anything to make their argument. "Muh Sex junk" is exactly what they will say it is. That Islamic societies' sexual mores are also insane and that the people who are making this point are more violent than Bill Nye could ever be (mostly due to capabilities) doesn't contest the specific point they're making--that the West is intentionally trying to indoctrinate youth in degeneracy. That's what makes # like this effective as a recruiting tool. The salafis don't have to lie or mischaracterize anything. Nye's message is verbatim what they're a few weeks from saying it is. Islam's solution/response is evil, but the grievance, itself, is not BS. Not as long as Netflix/Hollywood is funding ***** like this and holding up people like Nye as some sort of person to be admired

Hi carewemust, this is a good question.

I think part of the challenge of the rise of extremists is the prolonged instability in the middle east. The general breakdown of society and living conditions in those countries and the resulting increase of refugees fleeing for their lives isn't very conducive to encouraging to the higher aspirations of Islam.

I've known enough good Muslims to see that the message of the Quran can inspire higher ideals, and don't doubt that many refugees are grateful for the opportunity to live elsewhere. Unfortunately the deck is stacked a against them in many ways.

I lament the suffering and pain that has come out of this, and don't envy the reckoning that is to come upon those who shed innocent blood in their misguided extremism.

Not necessarily the Q'uran . It is the modern Hadiths aimed at young people who are dissatisfied and easily swayed.
You could say the same as some Liberals in this country spreading hatred...same cause and effect

I'm not sure, where all the weapons come from. I suspect the military industrial complex of various countries.

Maybe it's outside the scope of the thread, but it appears that the shadow governments of the world has been using the Hegelian dialect to play both sides against the middle.

I suspect greed and lust for power is at the root of all this. At this point I doubt wide scale physical destruction is required to wage war.

? There have been holliewars conducted for the past two thousand years (and more) carried out by many religions including Islam... What makes you think this past century is any different from most of the last 20?

I believe Mohammad explicitly forbids harming children during wartime.



I've seen this about fairly regularly on twitter. Mostly from people in the Iraqi Army.

If these Islamic State fanatics religion is true they aren't going to get the virgins their recruiter promised them in heaven. Allah is gonna be pretty furious with them I reckon.

The number of people killed in terrorist attacks worldwide is tracked on such websites as jihadwatch. Muslims killing people in terror attacks happens EVERY SINGLE DAY. Usually only a few people stabbed in a low socio-economic country. We in the West only hear about it when it's a major incident with a high death toll in Third World Countries or when it happens on our own door step.

It is currently the "Holy Month" of ramadan for the Islamic world and every year it coincides with a spike in terror incidents
