well according to the unnamed source close to the trump family, baron does

and apparently in this instance the unnamed source is to be believed. not dismissed like all the negative stories with an unnamed source

this one is different

its like totally real

after all. trump said so and trump never lies. trump never twists #

My thoughts exactly. "Mommy" has a more innocent and childlike air to it and is more likely to evoke an emotional response as opposed to "mom" which is what adults and young adults call their moms.

My son turns 11 next month and he still says "Mommy." Wow, so much for retention of innocence and carefree youth... The fact that it seems "weird" to you would seem to indicate something "weird" in your own psyche, not something weird in kids that are still just little kids.

Or maybe your kid still saying "mommy" says you coddle and shelter him too much?

If you want to insult me personally I can do it to you as well.

I don't think people are outraged over this either. It's faux political outrage.

Dishonest, to say the least.

thats my stance.
that was my stance in the other thread

did you read the kathy beheaded trump thread?

go to around page 19-20

me and others were posting multiple images of trump beheaded. from floats to paintings that have hung in a college.
no outrage over that

there was even a thread a month ago linked to the new thread that talked about that pic hanging in the college and the OP, the one that was mad outraged only had a 1 line comment to make about that

its all bull#

im sure 99% of people feel it was in bad taste. hell i feel it was in bad taste.

i also feel as many are faking this huge outrageous reaction to it

a comic who shocks should be investigated for ties to isis

thats a load

I am not going to disagree that there is too much phony political outrage. People on both sides need to cut this sh*t out if we want it to stop.

Barron being possibly convinced this was real is not the incident to finally take up this point though..unless his parents come out and declare it as 'fake news.'

But most of the rest of phony outrage could serve as the perfect catalyst for both sides to finally cut out the phony outrage. They fuel each other in this regard and many other sh*tty regards.

I agree completely - both are possible. But if he did cry, then that should be kept in the family, and in no way singled out and made a fuss of in the media. A general statement about family distress would have been enough. The best reaction (no matter what happened internally) would have been to remain silent and dignified allowing the media to condem the image. But now, by speaking out, it has turned it into a much bigger thing, with Trump using his bullies pulpit to tramp all over 1st amendment rights again.

Between this and the whole covfefe thing the media and forums are having a field day today. Meanwhile the administration is quietly helping to poison the planet by pulling out of the Paris treaty. They know what they are doing.

Ya, the ISIS comparisons are simply absurd.

Political hyperbole and fake outrage for the sake of partisanship.

What? Lots of grown kids still call their mother "mommy". I don't find that odd at all.

My partner has 4 kids. The 2 youngest still live with us. They are 18 and almost 20. They both still call her 'mommy'. Very well adjusted, intelligent children. It's probably more to do with family tradition.

No they're not. They are spot on. It reminds me of a Geico commercial: "That's what they do."

Would have been cool if his parents told him he might come across an image that is not real and a mean joke.
Did They?
Maybe

Can't miss a chance to play on people's emotions though.

What you are blaming the parents???
Jeez, a new low.

i said it is a possibility.
i dont thin its a stretch to think trump would use this to play on peoples emotions.

Sounds like you are projecting.

projecting what?
i dont understand

projecting my opinion that i think it is totally possible trump would use this???

Yeah, the kind of person who would see this as nothing much and dream up some plot by parents to terrorise their kid for their own gain. Takes a certain kind of mind...

so you are saying it is in no way possible that trump is using this to play on peoples emotions?
of course it is possible

and yeah..my mind is warped. youre not telling me anything i dont know

Well there's a shock.

Anything is possible, but I'd rather the person who planned and posted that disgusting image was the focus as opposed to dreaming up possibilities that make it Trump's fault.

but this thread is not about kathy.
it is about the story from an unnamed source claiming baron was traumatized

i live in the real world and in the real world it is totally possible trump is using this....

and i will say again for the 10th time. yes it is possible baron cried for mommy

Anxiously awaiting the moment went one of you guys take the next "logical" step and claim Trump orchestrated this entire incident to cause liberal backlash by using his Russian operatives to collude with Kathy.

I stand corrected then. I still don't believe this story though, huge red flags waving around seeing as it is being used to push a political agenda.

youre right

but when someone says baron screamed mommy mommy that really gets people riled up

the beautiful babies and all

dont these same people always say trump is a master at playing people and using the media for his own gain?
it is said all the time and they say they love him for it

but in this instance is is not even possible he is doing that

the master media manipulator would not take advantage of the best chance ever?
come on

not saying he is but it is for sure possible

You interjected yourself when someone asked me why I hadn't condemned Kathy Griffin, and I said that I was too busy defending free speech.

I don't see how your comment, that I had plenty of time to condemn her in your thread, deserves any more attention than what I've already given you. I see this issue as a cheap publicity stunt on the Trump's part, using Barron Trump's wittle feelings as an excuse to garner support for their agenda to silence free speech.

The comparison you just made, in a perverted attempt to cover for a horrific act worthy of ISIS, is as disturbing as what Griffin did! Have you literally no compassion for anyone or anything in this world?

BS! I don't believe for one second that Baron Trump thought that was really his father's head!

You on the left are in serious trouble...you goin backwards dreaming it is forwards...while everyone else is upgrading.

Enjoy your repression.

When the Obama children were brought into it, I called it reprehensible, or words to that effect.

Nobody but Melania, if this report is to believed, brought Barron into this. We're only talking about Barron Trump's feelings because of her.

You can't even accept it when conservatives tell you it was reprehensible to subject Obama's children to this stuff. How about saying something like "I'm glad to hear that." You just can't accept that for some of us this isn't a partisan issue.

Uh, too little too late. Please show me/link me to the posts here on ATS, where right wingers are condemning and crying out for sympathy for the feelings of the Obama children, when the Obamas were publically mutilated and murdered in viral pictorial effigy.

Show me the quotes of you being outraged about them putting W's head on a spike. If you can't do that ... I'll take your word for it that you were.

I´m not arguing if he saw it or not, sure that´s hardly proofable and even if, doubts remain, just with nearly every situation. Still, what this so called comedian did, was way to far. Regardless who it should portrait, I´m making no difference here!
