I don't recall ever making that point or even insinuating it.

Do you agree that an anonymous source should be backed up with facts? Did you not say that Trump's followers blindly listened without vetting the information? It seems to me you are fine with anonymous sources not being vetted but require Trump followers to vett information that they read. Am I misunderstanding what you have said?

I think I understand the breakdown here. You are making an assumption that these sources aren't vetted just because they are anonymous. Furthermore, there are times when Trump comes out and confirms a leak after the fact, which gives credence to the credibility of these leakers. I've yet to see a Trump supporter change their mind on a leak even when Trump confirms it. They usually attempt to spin it so he is saying something else.

I wouldn't know because I'm a liberal.

But just listen to yourself for one second and reflect on this. You are saying that being under scrutiny 100% of the time because of your past (not to mention before he was ever a politician) is justifiable. The fact that you are holding his past against him is already considered bias, now throw on top of that a magnifying glass of scrutiny. You see the problem yet?

You mean like harping on the President's birth certificate for 8 years straight, even after he produces said certificate despite no obligation to do so?

I don't recall the main stream media constantly going on about the Birth certificate thing. I recall individuals who questioned it not being convinced with the photoshopped version of the birth certificate going on about it but I'm pretty sure CNN, ABC, NBC etc.. didn't have constant negative coverage of it.

Stop pretending like Fox isn't mainstream.

OK, I don't recall Fox running stories about it every other day or even that often to be honest. But even if they did that is ONE news outlet compared to Trumps's all BUT one.

Dude... The birther controversy was a BIG deal throughout conservative media. To pretend otherwise is just dishonest.

Does not even remotely compare to the media's treatment of Trump. By the way, how many conservative mainsteam media outlets are there compared to liberal media outlets.

Compare? Who is comparing? I'm saying they are both guilty of doing this and you are being biased by saying this is only a problem of Trump's. The minority party's media outlets are ALWAYS critical of the sitting President. Even to the ridiculous degree.

Where were you calling out the lack of professionalism in all the journalists keeping the Birther controversy alive all those years?

Again, my stance is that the AMOUNT of media bias is not comparable. Not that it doesn't exist on both sides.

Well we live in unique times. Trump is a unique President. Naturally the negative bias against him will be different and unique compared to other Presidents.

So why can't they report just the facts on Trump.

But they ARE.

They are reporting Trumps own actions and words. Yet the nutjob supporters, instead of blaming their hero for his own words and actions, attempt to blame the media for doing their job.

It's beyond pathetic.

They are not reporting Trump's own actions and words. Most of the time they are reporting some unknown persons views of what was said, or speculation on what might be going on. Sometimes they report on Trump's actual actions and his tweets, but they almost always cherry pick the negatives and often take a line or two from a speech to bash him with.

Trump's not helping himself of course, but that does not diminish the obvious bias in the media.

The reason for the media bias is it's politically correct to attack Trump for every indiscretion small and large regardless how pathetic or nondescript it is.
We have discussed for years and years how biased and controlled the media is and how it is being used push agenda's and subvert us ALL , then when they get desperate and show us just how controlled and subversive they really are half the people cannot see and deny it. Why? because your President likes to grab women by the pussy and eat two scoops of ice cream?
I never liked Trump, but I hated Hillary and was all for a giant meteorite in 2016. I was always left leaning with my political views and last years election really opened my eyes to what the left has become and I switched off the MSM completely. Not long after I became full blown MAGA and hopped on the Trump train. I had started to question my support of Trump recently, then this last week fueled by the bias media's relentless attacks has reaffirmed my support and reminded me just how crazy the left has gone.

They are so consumed with their self righteous crusade they can't see what they are doing. They are hardening the actual Trump supporters, further alienating the "anyone but Hillary" crowd, and forcing the moderates to take a step back. They are certainly not winning over any new converts.

What are they supposed to do? Sit back and let hard-Right nutters take over the country and force everyone else to live by their narrow and limited standards? Is everyone supposed to sit back while Trump systematically destroys the country?

It takes a Harvard study because so many have these blinders that won't let them see the truth when it's staring them in the face...It seems as if anything that goes against their personal feelings has to basically be an admission by those responsible for them to believe...As we see here even with the study they still play mental gymnastics/double standards with the topic.

It is strange because Democrats said Trump voters were less educated. Yet these highly liberal people are not showing wisdom much in their actions. Maybe college is taking away their ability to comprehend things. It is well known that the more you memorize, the less you are able to adapt that knowledge to other things. IQ and Knowledge are at opposite ends of the spectrum sometimes. High IQ people with knowledge structure the memories differently, it has much more flexability. It is how the information flows through the brain that is important and how it interacts with other memories to compare the information. This takes more time, so people with IQs that are high sometimes do not do so good at timed tests, they cannot easily parrot what they have been conditioned to believe is real. They compare information to varify if things are real or pertinent.

Ok, so the people who voted for Clinton are brainwashed, they cannot reason as well but can memorize the information they are conditioned to believe is real and will not question it. Parrots of the highest degree. Does that make any sense?

Makes sense to me. I've often wondered how so many "educated" people can be so blind to what is staring them in the face OR how they simply refuse to apply any common sense to a particularly issue. I mean you know they are smart but it is almost like they completely shut down to avoid coming to grips with acknowledging they are wrong on an issue.

Part of the problem is that I think too man of us are in an eco chamber. We don't go outside of our own comfort zone when getting information. I subscribe to both NYT and WSJ as well read both Brietbart and HuffPo. I try to get all sides on an issue. I find many people simply don't get "facts" from multiple sources and they also take anything they are told at face value instead of trying to use that information to form their own opinions.

There is a difference in how people's minds work. Some can retain knowledge very well, that requires little folded protein structures similar to prions but I think they are also classified as sort of an antigen. Certain foods actually increase these memories, other foods do not, so diet is something that is relevent.

On the other side of the coin you have fluidity, Wisdom, Sofia, Street smarts, common sense, reason-ability, adaptability, or Intelligence which are other names for this. Just because someone can remember something does not mean they can see other applications for the use of it. Many people think you have to have a hammer to pound a nail.

The people controling this country would rather have people who can memorize things they want us to believe are relevant than people who can see what is really going on. So many of us congregate in sites like ATS to discuss what else could be really happening. The people who control things tell those they control that we are conspiracy theorists and we need medication. They tell people that things that raise our awareness are bad for our health and they have medications to make us believe what we are told is true. Believe their twisted interpretation of evidence.

Oh yeah, I am probably skitzo because I believe we should investigate both sides of an issue and try to find a reasonable solution to things. In certain cases, Occams razor cannot be used. I do believe we need some calming foods, but also know too much zombie chemistry is not good.

I think you're right. The media is biased against Trump. As is most of the world, people in the U.S., and most sentient creatures on this planet. The bald eagle that tried to attack him comes to mind.

It isn't some gigantic conspiracy. Most people that know Trump personally outside of his family don't like him. It seems that extends to most other people and animals too.

Part of having a narcissistic personality is believing everyone else is the problem, and not you. What Trump has done is sell that part of his narcissism to his followers as a cover for his own actions.

And its working beautifully.

"It's their fault!" -Trump 2020 campaign slogan, I can see it now.

Holding someone accountable for their actions and words does not equal support for perpetrating the same things by the other side.

Tsk tsk.

If a news network like CNN, is in fact not biased, and it is all Trump's fault, why would they report 2 scoops of ice cream?

Ever heard of the term "slow news day" before? But no it's gotta be the most melodramatic bs you can think of instead. Lol. Like I said earlier, you are just proving yourself to be disingenuous.

lol lets use that logic your claiming. why if on a slow news day do they turn to melodramatic BS like the 2 scoops story?

Oh, you'd be perpetrating all right. You just wouldn't see it as such. As far as holding someone accountable for their actions, you lost that one when Hillary skated out of the classified email fiasco.
At any rate, you'll need the support of the moderate population to achieve your goal. Right now you've got them running in the other direction.
