I know tabloids news hitting on Trump are very addicting, but is not good to just rely on them for news.

???

I don't read Tabloids...

If I did I might think Ted Cruz's father helped kill Kennedy..

I read News and if interested then I research it, check sources and other angles left and right to assess it's veracity.

WaPo... National Enquirer ... same standard.

So the DoJ confirm that no request was made for resources for the Russia investigation and your excuse for the WaPo's BS article is that the DoJ is not credible, but unnamed sources are. Funny.

Comey briefed members of Congress on the request?

Comey informed lawmakers of that request after the Senate Intelligence Committee, conducting its own investigation, had asked the FBI to speed up its Russia inquiry, the source said.

Dianne Feinstein, the Senate Judiciary Committee's top Democrat, told reporters she understood Comey was seeking more resources for the FBI investigation.

And yes...I do not find this administrations spokespeople well informed or credible.

Source link please.
Also being asked to speed up does relate to the WaPo fake news about resources.
It's already been debunked, but wriggle away.

I have no problem with this...

I am just curious if he comes back and says... nope trump is as clean as a globe spanning business guy can be... will those that are convinced he is satan incarnate accept it, or demand he be strung up by his toe nails.

All good with whatever Mueller concludes...as long as his conclusion isn't pre-empted by Trump/Sessions firing him.

We'll see. A Democrat senator has just asked for another independent commission, adding to the fruit cake Pelosi's attempts to undermine Mueller before he even starts

I provided it on the last page? The post you were responding to. Did you read what you were responding to?

He asked for additional resources because congress asked him to speed things up.

Again, I would recommend reading what your are responding to.

The independent commission is separate from Trump Collusion and prosecution of folks like Flynn...and whoever he might roll over on..

The independent commission is focused on bi-partisan solutions for cyber-security as Russia has increased their hacking in elections not just here, but across Europe.

That is not what the senator just asked for... and as we know Pelosi is already playing games. I rather suspect your tone will be similar to today once the realisation hits you that Trump is safe and sound. Like I said, we'll see.

Base on the interviews is about the divisions that the investigations have created in the nation.

That is my take, but that is my personal opinion. Perhaps consolidating them be better.

Also the leaks are very damaging too.

Definitely as I listen to the senators that attended the briefing, they are very concern about the multiple investigations that is taking unnecessary resources.

So Mueller and the justice department may look for a solution.

Not to mention the need to maintain integrity or lose advertising dollars and subscription revenues. Remember the newspapers have to make money to be able to keep operating. The reporters, the printers, the distributors don't work for free.

Comey being fired was inevitable... how could anybody trust him after his behavior the last 6 weeks of the election.

While I approve of anything that spikes hillarys ambition... Comey's behavior certainly seemed odd to me.

Eta: yes I am willing to admit he helped get Trump elected, his last minute letter to congress played right into the 15 second attention span of the american public.

the responses are very interesting to hear one after the other - they are all saying something slightly different. No surprise that republicans and democrats sound like they were at a different meeting!

Yes, the senators have much to talk about the multiple investigations but not much about the Comey firing.

Interesting.

I kind of feel that Mueller will do a good job.

I think that is going to be some that will not like the consolidation of the investigations.

After all the witch hunt needs to keep feeding the frenzy, the more the better.

In other WaPo News:

House majority leader to colleagues in 2016: ‘I think Putin pays’ Trump

A month before Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, one of his closest allies in Congress — House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy — made a politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill with his fellow GOP leaders: that Trump could be the beneficiary of payments from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016, exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.

Some of the lawmakers laughed at McCarthy’s comment. Then McCarthy quickly added: “Swear to God.”

I have a feeling it will be you types that will be upset about this, not us. Y'all are the ones constantly bitching and bending over backwards saying that there is nothing to see here every time a new development appears in the news.
