If we dont know what was transferred how does something "so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government" allow "former U.S. officials" to tell us about it?

...WaPo...

Red flag!

Details were withheld. Thus the report did not detail what kind of information was handed over.

I would think any classified information given directly to Russians or Syria would be very important. Tidbits of information can lead to bigger info. Right to origin and assets. Otherwise it wouldn't be classified.

Yeah, like the brilliant idea of selling guns to the mexican cartels so they can trace them up the ladder!

Or outing the CIA head in Afghanistan!

I guess you think the russians and syrians are smarter than the USA.

Probably are smarter, come to think of it.

Crooked Hillary wasn't President of the United States, a position which carries the RIGHT to disseminate classified information to whomever the POTUS deems appropriate. Whether this did or did not happen, there is a massive crevasse between the proper handling of Intel by the Secretary of State (who is required by law to keep any and all classified Intel secure) and the handling of the same by a seated POTUS (who is the final word on whether such Intel remains top secret.) Hillary was never president, so any slippage of secrets from her constituted breaches of secured Intel.

True. One one hand, we have the POTUS supposedly sharing info with an ally to help in the war on terror and discussing the latest schemes/plots ISIS would use against the west.

First error: Russia isn't an ally

Correction:

The MSM and the establishment doesn't want Russia to be an ally.

The sun is bright. Russia isn't an ally. Certain things are facts at the moment. No sensible person wants an ally that tampers with their democratic processes. Only a coward and a sell out would want that.

We know for a fact Obama tapped Merkels phone and spied on Le Pen in France. I guess we can't be allies anymore

I don't know what you are ranting about.

This is about Mr. President, maybe you missed it.

", who said that Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State. "

That means its real.

Washington Post also claimed Russia had hacked our power grid. How'd that turn out?

If you don't know it's not my job to tell you.
Anyone still holding on to any idea that it wasn't the Russians is just being stubborn.

Your ability to understate the severity of a situation is incredible.

What are you guys not understanding about this? This was intelligence that we didn't even share with our allies.

Among those details was the name of the city in Islamic State territory where the U.S. partner detected the threat, seen as a particularly sensitive disclosure that could allow Russia to identify the intelligence capability involved. That capability is highly valuable, according to The Post. It could be used to provide intelligence on Russia’s involvement in Syria — meaning that the Kremlin would have an intense interest in identifying and disrupting it.

He fingered an intelligence asset. One that can also provide intel on Russian activity in Syria. You don't think the Russians can use the intel to jack with our HUMINT/SIGINT assets?

You people have no idea how inept and retarded the President is. Worse, you don't even care.

Idiocy. Pure idiocy.

If you believe him.
No, the story isn't fake.
This is yet another stupid error. Not just a brush it off moment.
Of course this Whitehouse denies the story.
"EVERYBODY KNOWS" you can't believe a word he says or a word he puts out by any other means or person.

The Germans and our other partners have every reason to be circumspect when dealing with us now that that's been disclosed. There have been real repercussions. However, there is a difference between passive intelligence and active manipulation to subvert their government. I suggest you learn the difference.

Putin is a hell of a lot smarter than Trump. To think otherwise is stupid beyond belief. How much intelligence experience does Mogul have? None. How long was he in the CIA? Never. How often does he even bother reading FBI compiled intel reports? Never.

Putin on the other hand? How long was he HUMINT in the KGB? 15 years... 15 years as a spook and he didn't die. Joined Yeltsin’s administration in 1998 and has had a career as Prime Minister and President literally ever since. You wanna chop it up against that dude? For as much as i despise the Russian intelligence agencies I have have a great respect for them. Underestimating the Russians is just something that I wouldn't advise.

there could be a great deal of this information that was shared that is actually relevant for our operations against the islamic state and russias operations in the same area. so without knowing what was shared all we can do is make baseless assumptions.

You where all able to ignore mountains of verifiable evidence and Russian dealings with Hillary Clinton. All I'm asking for is one piece of verifiable evidence.Tell me what exactly Russia hacking our election even means. John Podesta gave his password away in a a phisihing scam and the DNC refused to hand their servers over to the FBI or any other government agency. What exactly do I know the Russians hacked and what did it effect?

Russia’s deep-seated abortion culture, implemented publicly during Bolshevik rule, continues to shape the perception of the value and dignity of human life. In a country where birth control costs more than an abortion procedure, the practice has not only become the norm– it is the top birth control method in the country. Until recently, Russian women reportedly had seven abortions over their lifetime.  In 2003, BBC reported there were 13 abortions for every 10 live births; Reuters reported in 2009 that there were 73 abortions per 100 births in Russia.

I'm afraid I don't understand your position here. Do you disregard this informatoin:
www.realclearpolitics.com...

McMaster clearly stated that he was in the room and it didn't happen. So we either trust the National Security Adviser, or we trust the Anonymous source that leaks everything to the Wa Post.

What is your stance here?
