The problem I have with such articles printed for public consumption is the total lack of

Trump kiss-assery?

Reading into what was not said only fuels speculation so if we start with the thread title, I'm like "hmm, so is this article actually saying that we have vital intel we don't share with allies?"

Correct...Some folks say Code-Word Classified...but "Compartmentalized" intelligence means just that. Sharing specifics with allies means that some leak somewhere could get someone killed.

In the fight against ISIS, Russia is an ally -

Russia only cares about themselves...They are fine with ISIS attacks on Americans, not so much Russians..

If you don't take my word for it..take it from a Trump General in a Congressional Hearing recently

Yet every article you linked cites WaPo as the source.....fake news begets fake news....

It's all "fake news" until it becomes impossible for the administration to obtain the lie. Then they go ballistic about "leaks" and make up BS about unmasking.

Let's set aside the role of Trump supporters in facilitating this slow-motion implosion by entertaining this insane jackass's lies while wagging fingers at everyone else and calling them liars and "fake news" — and address the first part of your response.

Now I can almost understand not reading the articles but the excerpts I posted prove you wrong:

two US officials confirmed to BuzzFeed News.

If you read the NYT article, it's clear that the Washington Post wasn't their source either. The only mention they make of WaPo is down toward the bottom:

The Washington Post first reported the disclosure, which immediately reverberated around Washington.

The wording is a little ambiguous and hell, the sources could even be the same for both WaPo and NYT, but if NYT had been citing the Washington Post, they would have made that clear to cover their own asses by starting out with something like "An explosive report in the Washington Post" or some such.

Ok, so.lets assume they all have completely different sources? So 6 people were there that "leaked" the info? They went off in pairs to leak to 3 different news organizations.

A Trump Admin official called CIA and NSA and told them the oompa-loompa just burnt the asset and both agencies likely made calls to partner-county X and said the idiot just bragged to the Russians about the intelligence your inside guy gave...you better get him out ASAP.

That means it was CIA and/or NSA folks that scrambled and a few of them leaked to Wapo, NYT, Reuters etc...For the good of the country...cuz the current POTUS is a national security threat either by intent or stupidity.

Is that too blunt?

Like I referenced earlier...belief turns to delusions when facts can't back it up yet the believer can't let go of the delusion.

I have a hard time taking you seriously as you categorize multiple reporting and sources as delusion..

Whilst authoring Pizzagate Delusional threads ..

It's like Charlie Sheen lecturing someone on Sober Living.

Multiple media agencies you mean....they are all referencing WaPo.

And you mean the thread that I personally researched and put out there to ask questions based on no other sources, simply digging and researching and even admitting when wrong?

See...thats the difference between blind belief/delusions and being able to admit when you're wrong.

If the "journalists" from these stories took an 1/8th of the time I took to research, we likely wouldn't have this issue, but alas, they are all about hit pieces, BS and sensationalism....and people buy it and go to their political grave clutching it....just sad.

Do you really sit there and assume that journalists at the Washington Post ( or any other publication of merit on the left or right) put in less effort than you? You, a citizen investigator? Cmon man. I know its fun to bash the media on ATS. But its their career. I highly doubt you put more work into research than those who eat sleep and breath it.

and here I thought that we might actually get through the day without a major blowout in the white house!!

it's time for trump to either admit that he was talking nonsense when he hinted that he had secretly taped the conversation he had with comey during their lunch...or....
explain when he saw the need to secretly tape comey but not the russians...or...
turn over the secret tape of the russian meeting to people in the cia or nsa that has top security clearance...
we need to know if this story is true before he manages to get our (and our allies) agents and assets in the field killed!

Open Secrets

The Post is withholding most plot details, including the name of the city, at the urging of officials who warned that revealing them would jeopardize important intelligence capabilities.

Unless this claim is false, the people who revealed those details to the Washington Post did so in violation of federal law, are felons, and belong in prison.

If keeping classified information secure is truly these anonymous sources' primary concern, then they should turn themselves in to the FBI immediately, plead guilty to their crimes and serve their deservedly lengthy prison sentences, rather than blabbing everything they know to newspapers for worldwide disclosure.

It would seem that way, considering I get right about the same amount of info they do.

Journalistic integrity is dead.

Career? Go back and click every link to every outlet covering this story and let me know the differences you find....pretty telling when every single one says the same thing with almost the same words. Almost as if they read one and wrote their story based on it....crazy huh?

The fact is they HAVE to reference WaPo, because they only have the story because of WaPo. I don't think these reporter's are even capable of real legwork research. Their organizations have made it such that they don't have to. They can type up whatever they want and put "unnamed sources" behind it and that's all that's needed for the EIC as long as the EIC asks them if the source is credible....there is no accountability.

It's been shown time and again there is none, yet these people are still writing.

Case in point, the Politico "journalist" that ran his pieces by Podesta before running them.....yeah....still a head writer for Politico, but no bias there....journalism is a joke these days.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster denied a report that President Trump shared highly classified information with Russian government officials during an Oval Office meeting last week.

"During President Trump's meeting with Foreign Minister Lavrov, a broad range of subjects were discussed among which were common efforts and threats regarding counter-terrorism," Tillerson told reporters at the White House Monday evening. "During that exchange, the nature of specific threats were discussed, but they did not discuss sources, methods or military operations."

We know the story is untrue. No further action from POTUS is needed on this.

Only when it is painfully obvious that the story has been made up. The magnitude and multitude of claims the media has made which have been rejected just *may* tell you exactly who the real liars are here.

While I dont wanna jump to conclusions. But I find it almost impossible that you or any staunch Trump defender has accepted any story thats negative against trump as possibly true( with or without the painfully obvious making up of a story in your opinion). Again, not trying to label. But it sure as hell feels like ( and both sides can be guilty of this) if a story on Trump is negative, his defenders will IMMEDIATELY assume the story is fake.

Firstly, we are talking about ISIS so why have you gone on a tangent and linked an article about the Taliban??? - chalk and cheese my friend - get to know your Islamic geopolitical alignments. BUT, in saying that, do you recall the Russians accusing the US government of aiding ISIS, just like your linked article has the US accusing Russia of working with the Taliban? Wars by proxy for pipelines.

But yes, lets put our feelings first and determine that disagreeing with or questioning the article means shilling for Trump.

What a sad & pathetic world some of you have made for yourselves.

Surely you were outraged at that.

who ever the liars are, and I think there are some in both political camps, which means for every "fake news" you come up with from washington post or msnbc, there's one from infowars, and fox news...
so just where does that lead us but accepting that there is no truth out there, or if there is, it's too masked over by the fake it's nearly impossible to discern.

fact is... trumps hinted that he had secretly taped the discussion he had with comey...
now if that is true, seems reasonable that he just might have also done the same with the russian meeting..
unless of course he trusted the russians more than he did our own head of the fbi!!!
so, you want to know the truth... one way to get it might be to get ahold of any tape that might exist of the meeting!!

don't really want to know the truth?? okay, then sit here on ats and keep defending the insanity!

We much rather would have had Obama tell us, the American people about Trumps team. Thats for sure. So yes, I believe the left IS angry with Obama for that
