Attraction is not sexual activity. Pretty sure I made that clear.

If you are attracted to someone in a sexual manner, it counts even if sex is never had and it is part of what defines sexual orientation.

A man can rape another man and even though it was sex, that doesn't make either of them gay. After all, rape is more of a power activity than it is one of sexual attraction or love.

No. It's not progress. It's all regress with you, in my experience.

You aren't the first to discover it. No one has denied that racism exists.

Regress of what? Oh my God your arguments have absolutely no substance.

What did I do wrong? Please enlighten me.

Nope, bull. It's about attraction to the relationship. Not sex. Many people have never had sex, you're not a freaking snowflake because you have popped your bubble. Just like some have had sex with orientations they don't identify with, the sex itself is meaningless to the orientation.

So nothing. You would have called him a name, big deal.

What happened: dfn went outside to speak with the person, heard racially charged language and the guy left.

What you want to have happened: hear the racially charged language and then escalate the situation to a possible physical altercation?

How is that better?

Yeah, you're right whenever I hear someone verbally abuse someone I like or respect. I just let them do it because if I stand up for my friend, I might escalate the situation and no matter how much I might like my friend and care about them, it's just not worth it.

Shoot, if someone stabs my friend, I better stay clear of that too.

Thank you. I would be embarrassed to just tell this story on an internet forum to make myself look good and conservatives look bad. (I still don't see that connection though.)

So if you stand up for your friend to the mentally unstable person in the street yelling racially charged things, and he shoots you and your friend what then?

All I'm saying is that escalating situations with loonbats is seldom a good choice.

You exploit feelings of social injustice to win political debates on the internet. Nothing more. That's it. You have demonstrated no real compassion or action to back up your claims of tolerance and concern. You couldn't even say you have black friends...just coworkers and other people in your hometown.

And yet you claim to know that some conservatives wish they could use the n-word and ....oooo...you just dare them to.

Why? So you can give them a polite escort to their cars when they leave?

Bah.

I think you are lacking substance...and backbone.

*snort*

Well, let's get into the gutter.

Considering I am a happily married mother, I would hope I have "popped my bubble."

You are confusing carnal love with agape love. Agape knows no gender and has no preferences. It's the love of mother for child, husband for wife, and true friends.

Carnal love or erotic love is what we use to define our sexual orientations.

It didn't sound like he had any reason to feel threatened from the story he told. He gave the guy a freaking escort to his car, for crying out loud.

So you assume everyone who insults your friends is a dangerous loonbat and thereby excuse yourself from sticking your neck out?

So you would bet (your life) that the guy that called Alvin an ape is most likely mentally stable? I wouldn't.

I assume that someone who insults my friends is an idiot who doesn't deserve mine or their time. If they physically do something, I'll blow their head off. Until that happens the hot air coming out of their mouth is meaningless drivel.

No. Bull#. Sexual orientations retain their own definitions that are Agape love based on the preferred selection of Carnal love.

Is a Virgin that waits until marriage 'not straight' for the preceding years? The actual sexual act is EXPLICITLY removed from the definition while retaining the preference. You having sex proves nothing, dingbat. You can be a lesbian tomorrow if you want, no strings attached. Or a flying helicopter bot.

I don't see big white guys with lots of muscle going around beating on blacks who trash them all the time. Tell Alvin he needs to take a chill pill and practice more tolerance if that's how he deals with racism and name calling. Other races including whites put up with it all the time coming from blacks. Blacks can even be extremely racist against each other.. depending on percentage of black heritage one has.

The customer was being a total jerk. I trust his reaction. He's veteran and ex-professional football player. He's no nonsense. But I would never in a million years describe the guy as a racist since his wife is white and he has beautiful daughter. Alvin is really a nice guy. He doesn't have a racist bone in his body. But you have understand something. As a white person, my experience of racism in this country is NOT the same as his. I think you really listen to black people's stories to understand what is going on.

The thing is I really didn't want to talk about me. I really didn't want to talk about Alvin. All I wanted to do was talk about the statement the customer made in call Alvin an "ape". I was then and still am shocked what someone would use that word in a sentence in that way so many years after the civil rights movement.

I think some people just like to gloss over it all and think slavery never happened, the civil rights movement never happened, and everything in this country is just peachy.

My posts on this thread were meant to be about behavior and public policy. But instead it always flips around to be about me or what black people think. I think there is a fundamental divide in this country about if even there is a problem. I have heard black people say police will stop black people in car with no cause in a greater frequency that white people. If this is true then the question becomes should we create public policy to address a grievance made by a class of people. I think there are people who will flip the argument around so they don't have to talk about the grievance. People just don't accept the validity of black people's claim. People just assume black people are being racists and have an ax to grind against white people. That may be the case. So having a study so science can get rid of people's superstitions is a good way to start.

But all I see most of the people on this thread doing is flipping the argument around to concentrate on the person doing the speaking. I think this flipping it around is not very helpful. Black people may actually have real grievances that need to be addressed.

You think you can throw out that story and no one is supposed to even think about it or comment...just nod their heads in some bizarre Stepford total agreement?

I am sorry I didn't see any point to your story. There was nothing to show it was a conservative/Republican that made the 'ape' comment,' you did nothing to counter the 'ape' comment in defense of your friend...

What was your point?

I sure didn't get it. But I did see you told me there was no substance to my comments a few times. Oh, and you accused people of wanting to say the n-word when you haven't got a clue if that is true or not.

wuss
woos
informal
noun
1.
a weak or ineffectual person (often used as a general term of abuse).
verb
1.
fail to do or complete something as a result of fear or lack of confidence.

Should I assume you are a sexist for not even knowing what the word means and thinking it is another word for p*ssy?
