It actually had more to do with his letter to congress (October 28).

Those who don't like Trump (liberal and otherwise) were stoked, more recently, to hear about the FBI investigation (ongoing) into Russia (et al.).

Comey being out does NOT stop any current or future investigations being done by the FBI... into Trump or anyone else.

Comey was compromised 100%. Being appointed by Obama was enough to tell you he was dirty or at least controlled, and most likely an incompetent like Eric Holder. But he played a game pretending to take the blame for Hillary's loss all the while he was protecting her and trying to deflect away any prosecution of her. That and he went along with the phony Russian hacking story. He's a son of a bitch and should have been shown the door the day Trump took office. They need to use the leverage of going after Clinton and her higher ups and use that to force the deep state to back off. The CIA and the FBI have become a shambles and maybe this will help restore them. If this were a movie it would be like The Avenger's with Hydra having taken over Shield. Trump's no Captain America, sadly.

CNN must have a bad reputation. Because it's a CNN "exclusive", none of the other MSM outlets mentioned the subpoenas, or any possible connection to the Comey firing after it happened. Just "The Blaze".

I waffle back and forth on Trump, but firing Comey gives me a little more confidence in him. Comey went on and on about how Hillary broke the Law and why she should be prosecuted, and then determined she shouldn't be prosecuted. If he wasn't corrupt, he was incompetent, and should have been canned under the Obama administration.

Beat me to it. Not sure what part of the Midwest Buzzy is from but here in my part of Missouri Trump signs were all you saw. The only Hillary sign I saw was unfortunately on my mother's door. Hillary got absolutely smashed in my county and the counties surrounding me.

Rosenstein was praised by Republicans and Democrats (including Schumer), if Rosenstein thought Comey should have been fired, then he probably should have. Just watch Comey's July 5th new conference, he over and over again explained how Hillary broke the Law, then made up some bogus excuse about "intent" (which isn't even part of the statute), in order to save Hillary's hide.

On the other hand, the narrative you cite is in keeping with White House protocols. Come to a conclusion then come up with reasons to support it. A la, "Obama tapped my phones."
