The definitions are all correct except the bizarre statement the Nazism was a leftist ideology. Just because they used the word "socialist" in their title doesn't make them leftist, any more than the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is democratic or a republic. If you believe in freedom of expression, you area liberal. The idiots shouting people down are not liberals, they are right wingers but don't know it.

The point is this thread proves that Republicans only game is one of deception. American Republicans have started building this lie that Hitler, Nazis, and fascism is all left wing.... meanwhile the proof is right there.

Neo Nazi, White Nationalist, Alt-Right fascists ---Overwhelmingly support Trump.

This redefining of fascism by right wing republicans is nothing more than an attempt to spread confusion and misinformation to their own supporters. Because migrating their supporters under a false bubble of reality is key to their success, just as it was key to Trump's win.

I think the word you were reaching for was "popular", not "great"... As least I hope so. He lead his country into a war that they lost and were shamed for. But they followed him because he was popular, not great.

Just like saying Marxists are on the left doesn't mean everyone on the left is a Marxist.

Fascism is not a left or right thing, it's a state of government that has gotten out of control and have abused their power over the people.

Actually the group that coined the phrase specified that it was a centrist thing that leaned to the right, while attacking many of the left wing ideologies of the time, embracing capitalism and personal freedom with the caveat that these be limited by the interest of the state.

Pure right wing is anarchy - pure left wing is despotism
Democrats are considered left because they prefer larger government and more programs & regulation
Republicans are right because they prefer smaller government and less social programs

What is there to argue about?
Fascism is 2 steps to the left of socialism - just add a dictator and full government control.

I don't care how the Nazis and Neo's voted. They had to vote for someone. I am simply turning the question around on someone who seems to think that the fringe voters in society *do* somehow influences the candidate's agenda. Would you prefer to disenfranchise them?

And I *really* don't care that other people on the Left care about how the Nationalists voted, because the Nationalists care about domestic issues (jobs, economy, health care, border security, etc.) instead of some utopian idea of "socialist progressive / global community / nanny-state" bunk that history has shown leads to suffering and misery again and again.

They didn't have to vote. Nobody said their votes influence a candidate. They pointed out that the candidate attracted those voters.

Nothing you say is going to change that fact.

Lmao if I'm not mistaken this thread is about Google redefining fascism to be a strictly right wing thing so stop playing the victim card. I don't think many people here are trying to say it's only a leftist thing, and if they are they are wrong. It can be a left or right thing according to the classical definitions. Trying to claim the leftist socialist governments cannot become fascist dictatorships is invalid the same way that saying right wing government cannot become fascist dictatorships.
