No, I'm not trying to wind up my colonial convict cousins...honest. ;-) Lets look at the evidence. Malcolm and Angus both born in Scotland and you could argue they left Australia only after they're musical influences had been formed- Beatles, Stones, Who and the blues. I think Malcom was a, or almost a teenager by the time he he left. Malcolm still lives for a large part of his time in London. Bon was born up in Jock land as well. Cliff is english, and so is Brian. Only Phil you could descibe as a fair dinkum Aussie...even though allegedly he hangs out in his boat in New Zealand shagging escort girls (no wonder he's so miserable on tour). So in my book that makes AC/DC a british band. They even settled in London from 76/77 to try and make their international breakthrough (after Australia turned against them it has to be said). The LTBR, Powerage and HTH albums weren't particular big sellers in Oz at the time of their release either.
What ante? You're wrong.

Brothers Malcolm, Angus, and George Young were born in Glasgow, Scotland, and moved to Sydney with most of their family in 1963. George was the first to learn to play the guitar. He became a member of The Easybeats, one of Australia's most successful bands of the 1960s. In 1966, they became the first local rock act to have an international hit, with the song "Friday on My Mind"
