Yeah that was a few years back, the U.S were experts in having an unseen hand in removing gov't or heads of state they don't like, shouldn't that be more of an option than nuking it out, c'mon we used to be good at this.

Every time they try it fails. The CIA has problems manipulating other countries as you can see from their track record. China is not being honest. Anything NK does is under direction from Beijing to serve a specific purpose for China. If China needs attention diverted away from then to avoid embarrassment or prying eyes, NK is there to do the job.

If NK attacks SK, you can bet China ordered it and will be doing something major while all eyes are on NK, this will be all planned very much in advance

Your wrong China lost control of their puppet. Even sanctions like suspending coal shipments for a year isnt working. Thats why they are furiously trying to finish the wall they are building on the border. They are worried if Fatty losses power there would be a massive influx of refugees destabilizing China.

Now that it has been revealed that Xi's reply to Trump's request for them to stop North Korea was that China can do nothing, I think we know the true purpose of this meeting of the Senate.

Xi may have agreed that something has to be done now, and told Trump that China will back up the US. They are working on something. That is probably why Chinese troops were moved to the NK border. Russia also moved some troops to their tiny portion of the NK border. The US has moved in a larger than normal military presence to the area.

Congress wanted to be informed before the next time military action was taken. This might have been it.

North Korea has the ability to kill millions with nuclear attacks. That would not be so big of a problem if they were not threatening other countries every day. They need to be stopped.

Eight years of a weak president doing nothing caused this mess.

Korea is on the other side of the globe. NK shares borders with Russia and China. If Kim is as crazy as he being portrayed, Russia and China have more to worry about than the US. Even if they chose to do nothing, there is still the United Nations. Isn't stopping rogue states the very reason for their existence?

How about a Coalition of the Commonwealth? UK, Canada, and Australia join forces to stop the "threat." C'mon guys, lets see what you can do without the US.

The United States has plenty of problems to deal with without looking for more halfway around the world. How about dealing with the epidemics caused by drugs coming in from Central and South America? How about focusing on the poverty in this country? How about figuring out how to pay for the invasions we've already committed in the past two decades without raising the borrowing limit? How about punishing the people who started these invasions based on a pack of lies?
