I'm flipping through the cable channels now and as you've predicted, the news that LePen is very much alive in the process is being treated differently by the various cable outlets. Fox barely covered it -- about 3 minutes in a "Breaking News" piece. CNN was back to bashing Trump by the time that was over, so I don't know what they're up to... MSNBC (lol) is reporting that "far right" candidate LePen is moving on... They look a little stunned like on Election Night.

I'm coming to the conclusion that The Left really has no idea what's going on in The West right now.

I am a US expat living in the UK. My wife inherited her dads place in the Charante so we go through Calais a couple times a year. Go tell those truckers and people living near Calais an other channel crossings that illegals are cool.

There are borders for a reason. Africa is jacked up now because Europe plundered the continents and redrew the lines against old tribal lines. It's the reason there is so many problems there.


The same will happen in Europe if too many illegals are allowed in....most of whom disrespect and distance themselves from the hosts culture.

I'm all for controlling borders, that's a given. I haven't seen or heard anyone who feels differently.

But currently, our main problem in France is being blown up, shot, or run over by french citizens seduced by Islamic groups over the Internet.

This needs to addressed.

But also - you are throwing together there all refugees. When they broke up the camps, the families that were victims within them were placed in villages such as ours. They have been very civil and respectful. Controlling the borders doesn't mean (to me) condemning all foriegners systematically. It means putting energy and ressources into filtering who is let in and not.

I know there are no-go areas in several French cities, mainly Paris, where there is no law and order. Perhaps start there? I dunno. It seems governments would rather deal with low hanging fruit like here in the UK where speeding fines are set to triple. Where abouts are you in France? I LOVE it there. We are near Angouleme.

Yeah there is no-go areas (though I think there's been some confusion elsewhere on what that means ). I am in support of working on cleaning that up. The french seem to struggle with the idea of giving the police forces more power, ressources and respect in order to confront this problem, because it reeks of fascism to them. I think they have flashbacks of Nazi occupation when they consider it.

I live in Ardèche, in a fairly isolated hameau. We moved up here precisely because we lived near such an area before, and suffered a lot from the crime; when they found out we were american, it was impossible to stay. The cops kept saying they were sorry but couldn't go in there and do anything. Even when our house was bombed twice, our six year old beaten up by teens, and my husband and I plummeted by rocks every time we set foot out the door.

I love france, but sometimes it seems like it has cancer and is in denial...

Wow, talk about a tale of 2 countries. When they found out I was a yank in our teeny tiny village I was treated extremely well. In fact, I was given a 30 yeaar old bottle of Pineau(a speciality in the Cognac region). They remember the war a bit more out in the country. Our house was part of the french resistance for downed allies.
Anyhoo, most rural French do not like Parisians, probably for the reasons you mentioned. I do find it odd though as France is extremely nationalistic, at least out in the sticks, so I do not get the tolerance of these non conformist troublemakers. That is why I think LaPenn will win though. Everyone has been ignoring the silent majority.

This is what I experience where I am now (out in the country). The ones who were violent were only young arabs where we used to live. (though I never lived in Paris, it was still a bigger city in the south).

Any step in a direction that is nation first and globe later is a good move. This whole nonsense of a one world global society is a load.
