You haven't messed up any narrative.
So far, all you have done is try to justify her actions, based entirely on the fact that she is a female.
All I see is an inexperienced fighter hesitating, and an experienced fighter not. The tell, which you have so far ignored, is that she is dancing around trying to pick her spot, which is why her hands are constantly held in a standard "blocking" or "ready" position (depends on your instructor for which lingo you will hear).
If I saw a man doing that to me, I would know two things...he is "ready" and wants to go, but he lacks experience and doesn't know when to throw down. The reality is not happening the same way, and in the same patterns, that the training occurred in, so they are hesitating while they process.
I didn't forget anything. It doesn't matter what she said, at least not in the sense that it changes what happened there, she didn't attack the guy, he attacked her.
Look at the pic.

Justify what actions?
So are you her? Why are you defending her?

Her actions of trying to garner sympathy and support for being on the losing end of an altercation she willingly participated in.
Just hand her her participation trophy and tell her better luck next time...oh, and keep that chin tucked.

I am not trying to justify any action by her, just pointing out the clear fact that a guy came at her swinging and she stretched her arms in reaction...after bouncing back and forth, a half dozen times, trying to find a spot to throw a punch in. But, I won't comment on that, because it completely negates any other argument I am trying to make.
