The War Powers Act was not intended to let POTUS bomb whom ever he or she pleases, or on a whim.

So launching cruise missiles at people using Sarin gas a WMD is a 'whim' ?

Not the first time either.

Meh, thats just the excuse to switch form 'fighting ISiS', to 'fighting Assad'. No difference really, its always been 'Assad must go'. This air base is the largest in Syria operated by the Syrian army. They are having good effect on the 'rebels' that moved back into Palmyra. Guess why the US really hit it?
All outta guesses, why?

Derp, now dummy up. Because it was an effective asset being used to strike the terrorists in Syria.

well apparently the US intel sources DO have a video of the gas being dropped from the plane in Syria, How cool is that of course many of you will say it's just CGI but it was already shown to the Russians. (Just reported by Shep smith on FOX news 10:56 PM CST.) SO it seems this WAS Justified. SO it seems Putin's Puppet Poo'd on Putin......

Friday is going to be an AWESOME NEWS day

never said that..just dont believe it was syria

The only other Nation that has fixed wing aircraft that could fly from that airbase is Russia so if you don't believe it was Assad your only other choice is to believe Russia did it.

Sorry if i sound like a smartass but who said that only russians can pilot russian aircrafts. It's possible that a syrian pilot used a russian aircraft for the attack.

And who controls the airbase, who mixed the agents for delivery pre flight? Are you going with the lone pilot theory? If so there are too many grassy knolls for it to work.

Nobody mixed anything because the weapon was not deployed from the air.

The chemicals were at the terrorist depot attacked by the Syrians.

Still on with the Syrian and Russian BS you have bought into it has infected you.

I thinks its just for show. Trump wants to make it seem like he's not Putin's bitch.

I hope that's not the only reason. Because ego is such a bad reason to shoot missiles at people.

I wonder if there was any attempt to intercept and bring down the Tomahawks.

doubtful. they fly just off the deck. any chance of intercepting one is nearly impossible unless u know its route.

I have a question for liberals. If you don't believe the media in their reporting of this Syria situation, why do you believe their reporting when they trash Trump? If they are trying to deceive you on Syria, ever thought they are deceiving you when it comes to Trump as well?

I don't discount your post but I would like to know how a video of a jet dropping a bomb can allow Intel sources to determine there was a chem agent in said bomb.

It's not like it's a crop duster spraying people.

Operation Infinite Reach was the codename for American cruise missile strikes on al-Qaeda bases in Khost, Afghanistan, and the Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum, Sudan, on August 20, 1998. The attacks, launched by the U.S. Navy, were ordered by President Bill Clinton in retaliation for al-Qaeda's August 7 bombings of American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed 224 people (including 12 Americans) and injured over 4,000 others. Operation Infinite Reach was the first time the U.S. acknowledged a preemptive strike against a violent non-state actor.[15]

Any questions ?

Yep.

Most likely TLAM-D's too: uses cluster munitions. Would make sense if they were targeting an airstrip

just watching fox and shepherd smith just said that the U.S. has video of the gas attack showing the plane dropping the gas and shows the people on the ground reacting to it, they showed it to the russians and syrians and they still denied it. that is part of the reasons that they launched the tomahawk strike.

said that the video is from a air asset that the U.S. has in the region.

Now I wonder if Assad is willing to escalate this by retaliating against US troops in Syria?
