If that is the case for Flynn, them Comey and the FBI dropped the ball in the background investigation. those things are fairly thorough, I remember mine for my Top Secret clearance, they even talked to childhood girlfriends

Pence is dumb; there's no doubt about it. But he knows.
They're doing their best to wall this off, but he's not completely in the dark.

That was just info from the article and his wiki. Nothing oddly obscure about it.

I read that in a yahoo interview he stated that he did not take money from Russia, I am curious if he said it under oath anywhere as that would point to perjury. Given that we have no idea what he wants to spill the beans about, I'm jumping off in a few directions.

IF Flynn lied then Trump is not at fault, you can only go but what you know, the FBI failed, so Comey as head of the FBI has to take responsibility.

Did Flynn suddenly make this offer, to head-off a subpoena? He couldn't make a "deal" then, could he?

I don't know. I think it could be possible. Given the current political and media climate, hell, anything is possible.

Maybe what Flynn has to say was that he was intentionally planted in order to push the Russia story in an effort to discredit Trump. He did work for Obama.

I would believe this more than anything else. He was fired by Trump and we just do not know all that detail either. The short time he was even around Trump I highly suspect whatever he did was not on Trumps word.

IF Flynn lied then Trump is not at fault

That's a non-sequitur. It's possible that Trump knew that Flynn lied to Pence and did nothing about it until the lie was exposed.

Whether or not Flynn could implicate Trump (or his associates) in possibly criminal activity has no bearing on his lies to Pence (and us).

Immunity is generally granted when someone is offering to present testimony which involves those above their "pay grade." Immunity is not generally granted when someone merely says "I have a story to tell."

Glad you resurfaced, and are back to posting thought-provoking material again. Thanx!

WASHINGTON—Mike Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, has told the Federal Bureau of Investigation and congressional officials investigating the Trump campaign’s potential ties to Russia that he is willing to be interviewed in exchange for a grant of immunity from prosecution, according to officials with knowledge of the matter. As an adviser to Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign, and later one of Mr. Trump’s top aides in the White House, Mr. Flynn was privy to some of the most sensitive foreign-policy deliberations of the new administration and was directly involved in discussions about the possible lifting of sanctions on Russia imposed by the Obama administration. He has made the offer to the FBI and the House and Senate intelligence committees though his lawyer but has so far found no takers, the officials said.

WSJ

Now, of course, we don't know what General Flynn knows ... but ... really, we must ask the question ... if he's done nothing "wrong" why would he want immunity to testify before Congress?

It's beginning to look like trouble on the horizon ...

Lol

A spokesman for Mr. Flynn disputed the account, saying “at no time did Gen. Flynn discuss any illegal actions, nonjudicial physical removal or any other such activities.”

Basically this is fake news

My guess is Flynn's gonna talk about his Turkey business. If there was Trump Russia conspiracy Obama would have found it before January 20.

That's why i don't believe in the russian collusion bs. They waited until he got elected. Are they really that retarded?

From what I gather, the investigation into Team Trump's involvement with Russia (including the possibility they worked with Russia to influence the election) is still ongoing. So these things do appear to move slowly. As you said, they are "retarded" although it could take a while to make a solid case one way or the other.

We know the FBI is still looking into the matter and Schiff said his house intelligence committee had seen "more than circumstantial evidence" on the collusion.

From the way Obama allegedly acted (trying to get the information out there) it seems like the investigation into Trump had found something deep but wasn't going to be finished gathering up evidence until after Trump was elected. One theory on Obama's actions is that he was trying to keep the Trump administration from covering this up.

Now there is enough evidence out there to justify multiple inquiries (even if these are Republican run, it does not seem likely that the senate intelligence committee will ignore evidence implicating Trump or his associates) and that is enough. Trump has to be chained down long enough to get the investigations over with.

That's how much time these investigations take...

With Watergate, the break-in at the DNC happened on June 17, 1972 (during election season). Evidence began to mount in July 1973 (the summer after the election). Nixon resigned August 9th, 1974, the second summer of his term.

So this should follow a similar timeline unless the process sped up a bit.
