I would hope people could handle the fact that there are males and females-men and women. To change the world to somehow make the few who maybe offended is silly.

And this is an example of the media trying, AP stylebook, getting into a twist. Seems easy to get into-no?

Yes.
Let's use something else.

Or maybe let's just use common sense and let words mean what they are intended to mean.

People can, and do so.

I would hope that people can handle the fact that not everyone can be so easily categorized. I know you been shown the actual medical facts. And I know that you disregard them. So...

That is not enough. We must redefine things to not offend people who I doubt are offended to begin with.

All silly

Yes, because all words have only one meaning. Right?

Categorized as a male or a female-man or women.

Right, how dare any one do that. I laugh.

Based on what criterion? Genitalia? Gonads? Chromosomes?
Are you saying that there is never ambiguity in any of these?

You are truly ignorant.

No. Being called ignorant is not name calling.
It means that you are operating on insufficient information. That can be remedied.

The motto of ATS is "Deny Ignorance", not embrace it.

Categorizing people and calling them the "wrong" name is bad. And I am called ignorant for daring to think that they can be called male/female/man/women.

Yes I guess I am ignorant.

I expected this response.
Male and female mean boy or girl.
Language does not change gender.

Categorizing people and calling them the "wrong" name is bad.
Is that what the Stylebook says?

Yes I guess I am ignorant.
It's not a desirable state to be in. There is a remedy for it.

The story is about not calling some one a male/female, we can only guess why.

Are you under the impression that there is more than 2 sexes? (Hint men-women)

Hermaphrodites I think could skew the deal but they are rare.

The story is about not calling some one a male/female,
False. The Stylebook states specifically that those terms are recommended to be used.

alternatives include men and women, boys and girls, males and females.

I object to the term "Gun MAN"

It's just too easy to refer to groups as "they" rather than genderized. I try not to assert gender in my language and I'm FAR from PC...it's more of a common sense thing.

It's confusing .
Can somebody provide example sentences on the wrong and right ways?

soon we will not be allowed to say we are female / male.
Olympic rules will change.
All the greeting cards "congratulations on your baby boy" will be a thing of the past because that little boy might have been born with gender issues and it's wrong to label him as soon as he's born.
