Crikey - multiple ambulances on Westminster Bridge.
Hope this is something else, but TV pics just showed something on the ground on Westminster Bridge covered with a white sheet.

Bloomberg news now reporting a vehicle on the Westminster Bridge "mowing down people". Ambulances present, several people down. A reporter looking out the window says he can see two ambulances there, but that's all he can see.

Police calling it a "major incident".

Sky news saying a vehicle hit a number of folks on Westminster Bridge and that the driver was shot trying to run.

It's always pretty busy there so I haven't a clue how many are hurt. Quite a few groups of hi vis wearing people presumable treating folks on the overhead pics.

"8-10 prostrate figures on the ground" being attended to (from eye witness).

Knife attacker described as "Asian guy running, middle aged carrying large knife"

Asian guy in his 40's carrying an 8 inch knife trying to access grounds of Parliament.
Shot.
Other reports of four loud "bangs" heard nearby.

ETA just saw a pic of someone who looked dead at the bottom of the steps at one end. Looked as though his leg was badly broken too.

Just a guess, but the way people were stood and the blood on the ground under that person's head doesn't look good from a survivability point of view.

It looks like one guy may have been hit and thrown over the side of the bridge (or jumped to avoid the vehicle).
Got a picture but won't post it as i think this guys is dead.

Amazing how quickly this turned in to a "gun thread"...

It's part of the thread. Why not discuss all involved?

Title says... "Shots Fired". For me it's a curiosity. I was always under the impression that the UK had banned guns. Responders cleared the air a bit and mentioned that it's only certain guns.

Given the known information at the time, it wasn't discovered or said WHO made the shots.

I don't see the issue here. Don't be so defensive.

Not sure, Bloomberg now saying at least five people were hit by a truck on the bridge. Is that a footbridge?
Oh, nevermind, I see the live shots. It's both.

Some people saying this is because of Brexit issues.

Westminster bridge is a foot and road bridge that crosses the river Thames right by The Parliament building

Looks like a terrorist attack, seems coordinated with a shooting and a car mowing people down

I always feel terrible whenever something like this happens, regardless of the location in the world.

I hope I never get to the point where I see something like this and say, "Oh. Just another madman."

To the folks in the UK, I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope they got everyone involved and I hope they take the bastards out and shoot the crap out of them.

Just hoping it's not a sequence now and it is over - family work in London and have to commute out.

Just heard that also... "terrorist incident until we know otherwise" is the word from the police.
